Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort

This resort is HUGE! Neither me nor my husband hand any idea it was as large as it is prior to booking there. Anything you can possibly need can be found right on the grounds. Restaurants, shopping, a general store, you name it, all right in the property. My husband and I prefer sight seeing and mingling with locals, but had it not been for that we honestly didn't have a reason to leave the resort for necessities.

I gave it three stars instead of five for a couple of reasons. First is it's outdated. We were booked in the Diamond tower that gave us a view of the ocean. The room was literally just your typical hotel room with a king size bed and balcony. The tub/shower was tiny, there aren't any microwaves, our air conditioner didn't get cold, even after maintenance was called, and the old brown carpet on the floor was hideous. None of which could hold a candle to the lobby and grounds, since both are beautiful.

My second qualm is that there isn't a single area on the grounds that accommodates adults only. (I asked two staff members and they both told me there's no such place) We NEVER so much as touched the pool because it was swarming with loud, rambunctious, and some very rude, children! We met several adults who all complained about the same thing. While I don't particularly have an issue with kids, I also don't feel as though it's asking too much, for a resort of this size, to cater to the age bracket that are actually paying the tab!!! We travel quite often and this was a first for us. At minimum, there's always an adult dedicated pool. Since we were forced to hang out on the beach, this means we also had to suck it up and pay the $100 tab just for an umbrella and two beach chairs. (Eyeroll) because of this we found ourselves venturing off to other beaches almost daily.

Got to the resort and had no water for a couple hours in the whole resort. Got into our room and noticed one of the pillows was dirty and had some kind of brown marks on it.
The showers are terrible the water pressure is not it.
The kalia tower is very old and needs some up keep and remodeling. The other towers look10x better.
Location is great!
Right on the Beach!
They have a great 4 min firework show on Fridays!
Service was good!
Room keeping is great!
Restaurants are a bit over priced and not worth the price for the amount of food they give you for the price.
I’d stay again but ask to be in a different tower and eat more inland prices get a bit better!
