The Hollywood Roosevelt

+ Literally on the Hollywood walk of fame. Museums and shops in walking distance. Universal Studios a very short 15 minute drive away. Our room and the hotel in general were clean and in great shape. Responsive staff. The area lost power in the middle if the night, so The hotel security staff escorted us back to our room after we walked our dog.

The history is magnificent, the pool and pool scene is among the top three swimming pool scenes in LA, the location is as good as it gets for a visit to Hollywood but terribly busy and can be a bit loud—tho they did a great job of sound proof windows, far quieter than your average motel. I love this place. All that said, the basic rooms in the main building are pretty basic. But the cabana rooms and higher end suites are just lovely. The lobby is a work of early Hollywood Moorish Mediterranean architectural art, grand and intimate at the same time. And the bars mix solid cocktails, the restaurants are really good. It is incredibly touristy. All the Hollywood Blvd. hotels are. And it’s only “hip” if a “hip” industry event is being held. Otherwise, tourist city. Not the best for people watching, if you’re looking for stars or the Beautiful People. But I love it. A Hollywood treasure, and if you’ve never stayed here, you ought to.

An incredible historic hotel. Feels like you are surrounded by stars from the past at every turn. The pool is definitely the highlight, and eating options on site are great. Rooms in the tower are unsurprisingly tiny and could do with freshening up. Cabana rooms by pool better if you can handle the noise ! A great stay, look forward to returning.

I had a great time here. I felt very safe the whole time. Housekeeping does a good job making the place nice. Location was nice. Beds and bath were comfy. It was home away from home. I loved the vibe here. I did hear some strange noises which is expected from a historic building, and it was actually comforting.

The Hollywood Hotel Roosevelt makes you feel like you’re the most important person staying in their hotel. From booking a reservation with Lorena or Robert to been greeted at the front desk by Gabby or Hedy, their exquisite team cohesively pay so much attention to details. We love the rooms (King Suite) and can spend hours at the pool (which is heated year round), then find ourselves enjoying reading our kindle and hanging out in the most beautiful and inviting lobby. Late at night when we return from visiting a nearby attraction, we love going to the spare room bowling alley & bar where we often grab a table and play one of the many provided games while watching others bowl. The Hotel Roosevelt is our favorite place to stay when visiting LA.

When my friend comes to town, we always stay at The Roosevelt. Excellent service all around! From Christian and his fabulous daily greetings. To the bartenders Raul, Met, Luke and Nick behind the bar pouring happiness. The rooms are on point and there are plenty of things to do near by. I have never had an unpleasant experience here, not once. The staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is welcoming. Looking forward to returning, keep up the great work guys!

World-class celebrity Hotel with celebrity past guests located in the heart of L.A. with very nice rooms especially the upgraded ones and a nice and private pool area with lots of cabanas. Amazing food is offered with upscale room service and amenities. All that considering the price is very reasonable for such an elaborate hotel

Iconic Hollywood hotel rich with old Hollywood history. Beautiful and spacious rooms, a pool to gather around with friends, privacy bungalows - great fun! Shirley Temple practiced her tap dancing on the Spanish tile steps in the hotel. Great meeting space should you need for a wedding or corporate event. Staff is friendly, inviting and accommodating. Great food and drinks, too!
