The location is OK, the hygiene is average, the hotel is too old, the windows can't be opened, the dining room environment is OK, the taste is good

A Wonderful, Calm and Quiet Hotel
I had a wonderful stay at the Sunset Marquis. This was my third time staying there in the past 18 months, so I obviously like it.
It's truly an oasis of calm right in the middle of West Hollywood. The location is great! It's just below the Sunset *****, but far enough removed where you don't hear the noise of that lively area. It's within walking distance of a lot of places. (Granted, I'm a New Yorker, so walking is a preferred mode of getting around and longer distances don't bother me.) I also like the size of this hotel. I would describe the hotel as medium size, but it feels pretty intimate. It's not a high rise, so you don't get grand views of LA, but the lush landscaping makes for a calming environment.
The rooms are great too. This time I upgraded to one of their Villa rooms and I loved it. Previously I stayed in two room suites in the main hotel building and those rooms are great, but the Villa rooms are exceptional. If you can swing it, I highly recommend getting a villa room.
The staff is incredibly helpful and nice. I received a lot of help from Sara and Logan. They were both so incredibly friendly, but all the staff was great.

Our first stay at Sunset Marquis, but I can’t imagine staying anywhere else the next time we visit LA. Great location. Beautiful updated rooms. The vibe of the property and bar can’t be beat. We unfortunately didnt have a chance to try the restaurant, but we will next time!
The staff was friendly and efficient. We had one issue with the mini fridge in the room. But Teresa in housekeeping was very helpful. The valets were super fast in getting our car every time. We will be back

Perfect West LA Hideaway
Great rooms, great service, fabulous restaurant. Best stay in West LA. The team are so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. I stay there every chance I get!

The hotel is located in a quiet area in a busy city. There are paths full of green plants and small bridges in the park. The dishes in the restaurant are also delicious. The front desk and waiters are very enthusiastic and the service is very good. Seeing that we brought two children, we upgraded the room. I am very happy with the stay experience. I recommend it to my friends and will stay here next time.

The room was ok! But the parking fee was too high, so please be careful if you rent a car!

I recently booked the Couple’s Revival Spa Package (2.5-hour experience) and it was absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making us feel welcome and at ease.

The heated massage table was a delightful touch, providing extra comfort and relaxation throughout the session. The therapists were professional and attentive, ensuring that we both had a truly rejuvenating experience.

This was exactly what we needed—a much-needed escape from our busy lives. Highly recommend this spa for anyone looking to unwind and indulge in a top-notch massage experience.

I can't say enough good things about the staff, service and amenities at the Sunset Marquis. They went out of their way to turn a bad trip into a great experience after some initial mishaps while traveling.
Sydney, who served us multiple times at the restaurant, provided us with good local tips for shopping and experiences. All the valet staff and front desk were so helpful and friendly. The room was always clean and kept, as were the grounds and landscaping. This is a textbook example of how a hotel should function. Kudos!
