W Hollywood Hotel

Super nice service ns great location

Incredibly classy, sophisticated hotel located right near the heart of Hollywood, CA. When you walk in you might need to take a moment to gaze upward. The place is incredibly sheik, modern, and cool.

I had the honor of performing a private birthday in one of the conference rooms overlooking the street. The manager on duty, Sheen Tran, was so overwhelming helpful, personally helping with moving gear, directing toward the right room, tending toward the guests and making sure every last detail was perfect.

As a professional live entertainer, my company Dylan Galvin Entertainment gives a genuine endorsement of the W hotel. It is an honor and a pleasure to do business with the W.

The hotel environment and sanitation are very good, the fire drill is a bit disturbing

We were here for a red carpet event. The lobby can use some updating but the rooms were nice and clean. Customer service was good. I was a little annoyed that checkin wasn't until 4pm.
If you don't want valet service, you can park across the street at the Hollywood parking garage for 12$ a night.

My recent stay at the Marriott W Hollywood was overall a good experience. The highlight of our visit was the exceptional experience from Nathaniel. His passion and dedication truly stood out, turning our stay into a memorable one. We look forward to returning and hope to see Nathaniel in an even more prominent role, driving the W Hollywood to new heights!

Pros:

- The location is really good. There are many coffee shops and restaurants nearby because it is a busy area, and the subway station is right next to the hotel, so it is convenient. It is close to Beverly Hills, Rodeo, and other places in general.
- All the staff are very friendly. They seem to be really well-educated.
- I checked in around 5 o'clock, and the room was really nice and clean. It was recently renovated, so it was clean overall.
- The food was good quality and delicious.

Cons:
- In addition to the deposit, you have to pay $42 per day (the amount seems to change frequently). They force you to use the hotel, restaurants, and bars in the form of credit. With tax and service charge, one sandwich costs $42.
- Trip.com said it was a city view, but when I asked the hotel, they said they don't have a city view and that they are all building views, not wall views. So I initially got a wall view room, but I asked them to change it, and it was changed to a building view in the building in front.
- The location is a famous tourist destination, so Uber and Lyft are more expensive than other areas relative to the distance.

I would probably visit again 50/50

I didn’t personally stay at this hotel but we arranged it for our client and they absolutely loved it. Aside from the gorgeous hotel, the team at the Front Desk, Hotel Operator and Concierge are so competent. We arranged an amenity and they kindly offered a wide range of suggestions and prepayment options. They helped arrange a last min change in bed arrangements, early check in, and external flower delivery. You can trust this hotel with your VIPs!
