Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel

In a word “disappointing”…

Selected this hotel mostly for location and being a Sheraton thought it would be a decent place to stay.

Location was good as it’s in a very central location and on the door step of Times Square, as the name suggests but that’s where the good stuff ends.

Rooms were clean I have to say that however tiny, I actually got a free upgrade from king to queen, not that I’d have noticed. No fridge, no water, no advice on how to access services. TV, half channels not working “however if your going to NYC to watch tv” have a word.

Restaurant was closed however the room service menus whilst tiny was nice even if it was super expensive.

In short the hotel is old, dated and needs a refresh and in its current state is t worth the money they charge, the staff weren’t rude but also not super friendly but a little frosty for sure.

If you’re visiting NYC, save your cash plenty of other hotels cheaper for the same quality, if you want/need this location then fill ya boots paying way over the odds for the location which is the only redeeming quality.

Definitely not an ideal hotel to stay in, me and my friends were amazed and happy when we get off from uber but by the time we enter the hotel we are greeted with coldness and unapproachable look by the front desk agent that seems very unhappy with what he do, our room wasn't ready and they said they would call but we noticed that it's past 4pm and no one even dare to notify us, which is very disappointing. Second time we encounter the front desk he just gave us the room# without even directing nor explaining the facilities when in fact it's our first time. The room is not in good condition where the windows is full of dust, bathroom is rusty, requested something in the room like water but they don't provide. Guest service that accepts the requests is very unpleasant. Overall bad experience and not worth of the price you are paying.
Only the location is good.

Overpriced, run down, inefficiently run hotel. Staff are never in a hurry to help.
Way too expensive for the quality of rooms and level of service they provide.
We stayed in about 25 different hotels in USA Canada and Iceland during our holiday and I would rate this hotel the worst for value for money and speed of service from staff. It’s only positive feature is the location. Staff expect significant tips despite providing rubbish service.
Stay somewhere else.
Apparently lots of NYC hotels staff have the same attitude but I can only give you my own opinion on this one.
