Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego

Really enjoyed our stay! Really friendly staff. Zach gave us great suggestions and Nick was a great help as well. Great view, best location to the seaport and gas lamp, and walking distance to restaurants and entertainment. The beds are very comfortable and the hotel is very clean. Beautiful views of the bay with many amenities! Will come back and stay here again and recommend 10/10.

Very attentive and friendly staff. Great location. 10 minutes walk to the aircraft carrier halfway. We had an upgraded room with an ocean view where we can see halfway right out the window. It was great accommodation. Breakfast was good, overlooking the waterfront. Will definitely stay here again.

Positives: Impressive entrances. Comfortable space. Room window opened.

Negatives: Pretty basic shower. Everything about the hotel was super expensive.

Notes: Interesting views over the naval base - I've not seen aircraft carriers in real life before.

Summary: If you can afford to stay here, it's probably a good choice.

I was here for a business conference. Rooms are quiet and the windows open which is nice to let fresh air in. They don’t use fragrance or air fresheners in lobby and common areas which is great since I find them bothersome. Beds and pillows super comfortable. A special shout out to Annabelle. The housekeeper who serviced my room. She was so nice and friendly and even had a robe and slippers delivered to my room upon request.
Check in was easy and quick. Front desk friendly and accommodating. I stayed on the 21st floor in the Seaport Tower. Ask for a bay view. My colleagues who stayed in the Harbor Tower did report a sewage odor. I think they’re working on this to fix it. Overall, a great stay at the Grand Hyatt.

I had the chance to spend four days at this hotel for a conference in September 2023, marking my first visit to San Diego, CA. Prior to my arrival, I had already booked two cruise voyages. When I arrived at the hotel on Sunday morning around 8am, although check-in was scheduled for 4pm, they pleasantly surprised me by providing the room eight hours earlier. This flexibility was much appreciated! After dropping off my luggage, I enjoyed a delightful breakfast at the hotel, even though there were several restaurants to choose from nearby.

The breakfast menu offered a wide range of options, which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel's location was incredibly convenient, with a cruise departure point just a 10-minute walk away, and I was able to return on foot as well, which added to the overall convenience. One of the highlights of the hotel was its downtown location, allowing me to enjoy a sea view from my room on the ocean-facing side.

Despite not being brand new, the hotel's conference rooms and ballrooms were well-maintained and in good condition. All in all, I had a wonderful stay, and if I have the opportunity to visit again, I wouldn't hesitate to choose this hotel once more.

The view was spectacular. I could sit and look out these windows over the harbor all day long! I love the fact that the scenery changes with every boat/ship that goes by. City lights at night were equally spectacular. I enjoyed the pool and hot tub while attending a conference here. Lots of restaurants, walking distance. Fantastic experience!

I stayed here for an Insurance Convention. When I arrived my room was ready and was upgraded to a higher floor with a great view. I ate the first night at the Landing which I had a grilled chicken Cesar Salad. It was pretty good with plenty of chicken. The only thing I would suggest is having the Cesar dressing already mixed in, I really don’t like mixing it myself as the bowl was filled high with the lettuce and chicken. The maid service was outstanding. My room was maid up before 10am each morning that I was there. The location was perfect as I was able to run along the marina pathway for miles and miles. The area was as pretty safe as I ventured out around 3 to 4 am for my runs. My only complaint is the pool condition. It seems old and is in need of a serious renovation. I had a couple of meetings/ parties at the Marriott next door and their pool looked much better, even the Hilton had a nicer pool. Maybe next year, I will be surprised by a different pool motif.

Amazing! Can't wait to go back! Booked this resort for a great price in .ᴄᴏᴍ I loved this hotel and am so grateful I stayed here for less than I usually pay. A beautiful hotel. Easy to walk around and see the sights. Great view, spacious and clean. I enjoyed the food from the market.

Very comfortable hotel in a great location. A short walk from the San Diego conversation center and the Gas Lamp. There's a 24 hour food place by the Seaport tower, and super easy access to Seaport Village.

The beds are a bit firm and the sink is kinda annoying. It's nice look at but doesn't drain very well because of the design; it's one of those flat style sinks rather than the usual bowl style which would drain so much better.

Way more pros than cons in my experience and I'd definitely stay here again.

My family of four (5 year old and 2 year old) just finished our stay at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, and could not be happier. The facilities are what one would expect, but the personnel there is what really distinguishes this hotel. After check in my conference was canceled, and the hotel still honored the quoted conference rate.

Also, Jackson who works at this hotel was exceptional. He helped us with problems we had with our room keys, offered great suggestions and made our stay as comfortable as could be! Thank you so much for everything!!
