The Westgate Hotel

Im a musician who worked at this hotel for many many years. I was very dedicated to my job. Before Covid, I was scheduled by my manager to play in the lobby for high tea. When I showed up I noticed there was no setup for the high tea or any other events. I spoke with the General Manager, Richard Cox who after doing some investigating, found out that my manager scheduled me by mistake. He promised that I would be paid for showing up ($140). When I spoke with the manager who made this error, she apologized and said: “Do you want to be paid or do you want 2 free brunch tickets; some people prefer the brunch”. After she made this comment I was wondering how many other employees have had this happen. 😕I felt that if I didn’t agree to the brunch tickets that I may not be called back to perform so I gracefully agreed to the brunch against my own true wishes. Musicians 99% of the time would prefer the money that is owed to them. Then Covid occurred and the brunch was cancelled. I’ve never used the tickets as I feel that I should have been paid. I am now asking the GM of this hotel to make this right. Pay me the $140 that is owed to me. I will give you my address to send the check to (you have one on file but just to make sure please contact me to make sure it is the correct address). I will also return the brunch certificate to you which is signed by Richard Cox. Management, please do the right thing and pay me. Thank you.
