Very nice hotel. Clean, nice personel, good location. I will stay there next time I am in Berlin.
I booked a single room and it was one of the smallest hotel rooms I've ever seen. Regardless, the room was comfortable with a large bed and had everything I needed - good lighting, air conditioning, large window, many power outlets, phone charger, mini-fridge, flat-screen TV, rain shower, fast WiFi. I used the hotel's gym, which was large and had a lot of good equipment. There is also a sauna and...
An overall good experience. Although the location isn't as desirable as the original axel, the property is better and the staff MUCH better.
Cozy, comfortable hotel. Friendly staff. Good Breakfast. Close to the center of the city.
The hotel is modern with the rooms being well equiped, clean and tidy. They had a hairdryer, but I would have prefered tea and coffee making facilities. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel was excellent value for money, located in a pleasant suburb of Berlin, close to u-bahn underground train stations and I would happily stay here again.
The best thing about our stay were the very friendly and welcoming staff. The room was very small and had too much furniture, which made it seem cramped. The shower was broken and breakfast was way overpriced.
Room and bathroom were very clean and towels had been changed daily

Would come back again. Hotel was very clean and spacious, thanks!
Crab and spacious room with basic amenities provided. Would have appreciated either a kettle or coffee provided within the room itself to enhance overall stay.
Very tidy and comfortable room!
Clean and tidy hotel. But it is in an inconvenient location. There are few restaurants nearby and all of them are closed on weekends.
There is no kettle or other necessary household items in the room, I had to drink raw tap water for all 3 days of my stay.
room is good
meal is good
service is good
transportation is good
Hotel staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. The street it is located on is quiet and there are many places to walk too.

The location is great — the center of Berlin is within walking distance. The rooms are small but have everything you need. There’s a kettle with tea and coffee, and two bottles of water are provided every day. The hotel also has an underground garage, which is very convenient.
The “spa area” can’t really be called a spa: only two loungers, a very small room, and a sauna for about five people.
Overall...
Our second stay at this hotel, and once again it felt wonderfully homey rather than like a typical cold hotel. The room was great and the staff very welcoming. Many thanks to Lyudmila for her support and for making our visit even more enjoyable ❤️
I was just bringing friends to the hotel a few weeks ago. The staff at reception and Alexandra at the hotel bar were absolutely fantastic. The Cocktail of the month in October was worth every penny!
I have been using this hotel for a number of years now and find the location perfect for a quiet stay with good transport links.
The staff have always been friendly and helpful.
Rooms are well maintained, clean and modern.
Such a beautiful hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a great size and the bed was so comfortable. It had an iron and hairdryer-which are essentials for me🤣
It’s in a great spot with restaurants and cafes only a few minutes walk. It’s only a 15 minute walk to Alexander Platz!
Nice hotel in a pleasant part of central Berlin close to the serene walkable Markisches Ufer. Beds comfortable and spacious. Good shower and bathroom. Quiet and clean. Art and other touches tasteful. Reception looked after our luggage securely (present card system) after noon checkout. Only slight miss was no USB ports so bring a charger plug. Kaffee Büro across the street from the hotel also recommended...

My wife and I had a great 3 night stay here. The location is fantastic with everything you'll want to see in walking distance, but it's also directly next to a tram station and a 1 minute walk to the train station.
Our Bijou suite room was nice, but underwhelming. I was surprised and disappointed at the lack of a safe. There was also no fridge and there was no kettle either, although you could request...
Great location, one elevator so take stairs down. Small but good rooms. No coffee and tea in the room but I think it's fine with this kind of hotel. Great view from the room
The best thing about Monbijou Hotel is it's location. If you enjoy walking around , it's a great place to start seeing the sites. The rooms are clean and very quiet on the courtyard side but quite small. The rooftop is very beautiful and nice to lounge around and get out of your room. The breakfast was good and well balanced.
I stayed 17 nights at Monbijou in July-August 2025. The positives: the location, the very friendly staff at the 24x7 reception, flexible housekeeping schedules, the soundproofing of my room, a lovely library-bar, a fitness studio (sadly, I had no time to actually use the last two), a safe in every room, and an elevator that always functioned. The negatives: I was told I was being upgraded to a double...
The hotel location is really good. Staff are friendly and helpful
we had a street view cosy room which was near the station, just that it’s next to tram and train noises at night Recommend to all!

:)
Excellent hotel in a strategic position in the centre, just in front of Christmas market, the rooms are very nice, luxury furniture. Impressive breakfast and the restaurant is in every guide of Berlin. Very good value for the money
This is a nice 5 stars property centrally located in Gendarmenmarkt with only 95 rooms. Within walking distance to
Museumsinsel (museums island). Helpful and friedly front desk staff and a top nouch concierge. Highly recommended if you are planning a trip to Berlin.
The good: The staff was great. The room was rather nice (we had a junior suite). Great views. Amazing location. The restaurant downstairs had amazing food (try the liver and/or the wienerschnitzel) and the warm and liquidy chocolate cake. Room service comes from the same kitchen and is equally good.
The bad: A spa without a hot tub or pool and a sauna and steam room that didn't work. The staff really...
Great location. Tube and mall are close. Around Christmas you are right next to a Christmas market! Most extensive breakfast ever seen in a hotel! Would go here again! Very friendly people work in the hotel. They even offered us water and towels when we got back from our run!
Great location... great restaurant. Spent three days and two nights and had no issues. The breakfast buffet is served in the Atrium Cafe. Standard European breakfast. I also ate at the Aigner restaurant, which has a Austrian German centric menu that was great. There are several museums and historic sites that are not far to walk.
...and you have shops and restaurants in the square across the street

Perfect location and tidy rooms. I wish the rooms would have a water boiler and a mini bar for cold water though. Quite loud from both outside the hotel and from the corridoor which woke me up a few times.
Nice concept, have been there twice. Unfortunately, the room needs some round-up. The mattress appeared a bit floppy, needs renewal. Some parts of the room seem to have seen better days. Small fixes should do.
You have to be a fan of open showers, wet floors, no hooks for towels and loud bathroom fans right next to the bed that can’t be turned off.
Also, what's up with not offering daily cleaning, and bed making? You don't have to change sheets/towels every day if you want to save the planet. But please tidy up the rooms (unless you want to be a youth hostel), and don't use “eco” as a reason to not have...
Fantastic hotel! The place has modern checkin and set up but still has a very responsive staff (shout out to Pablo for great advice and help)!!! The bed was super comfortable and the room was just plain great. And the shower was hot and with great waterflow (I write this because inlet really got and it was a nice notable thing). Will use again!
Very interesting design of the rooms. Clean hotel, nice place to stay over the weekend. Poor breakfast, better to get some food outside then pay there. Service was very nice.
Cool place. Comfy bed. Elegant decor. Nice roof top terrace with great views.

New facilities. Great location which is near the centre of Berlin and close to the Berlin Central Station.
Very convenient location and hotel facilities.
A cute little hotel. Very central. Small rooms. Important - the shower door is transparent.
Enjoyable stay. The decor is a bit over the top and gets in the way of the functionality.
Excellent hotel, nice staff and everything worked perfectly. Breakfast is too expensive (18 euros)
Amazing and authentic Thai-Food. The pad thai tastes like the one we have had in Thailand. Service is also great. Always worth a visit. I can recommand the self-made Thai basel.

Walking distance to the metro.

They offer breakfast but it is pricey.
I had the pleasure of staying at the yard for 10 days this past July.
From check in to check out, the service was friendly and effecient.
I stayed in large room and the room was spacious, cool, and had a great shower.
The location was ideal for our purposes, it was a nice walk to the transit station and places of interest in Kreuzberg.
Thank you for a great stay in Berlin!
Clean , practical hotel with kind and helpful staff
My stay at The YARD was amazing from the beginning to the end. This boutique hotel is tucked away on a quiet street in the residential area. From walking in, I was warmly welcomed and taken care of. I especially enjoy the intimate feel at the breakfast area and cute courtyard, as well as the clean spa & fitness area that wasn't visited often by other guests at all during my stay. The kind staff was...
The hotel advertises itself on ******* as having a restaurant, bar and a bistro. Those have been closed and no longer available. Staff told me that the hotel has a new owner. Minimalist would have loved the room. The room was clean but limited on everything needed for a couple. I had to ask the front desk for extra towels. One coffee cup. One set of towels. The room had a coffee maker, but only...

The hotel is much more beautiful than on the photos, very friendly staff, descent breakfast, really quiet and the shower is awesome!
Very satisfied for the stay!
Love the reception team- helpful, diligent, and friendly! The night shift outsourced staff is apparent not as great - he was rude, telling me that there is no room service almost yelling into the phone and asked me not so politely to come down and pick things up. Besides that, it was a great experience - the staff will help you find the most economic ways around town and even tip you off if a driver...
This quiet hotel is conveniently located near Alexanderplatz.
The room was spacious and very clean.
I loved that i could open the windows into the courtyard.
There is a tram downstairs. Although it is very convenient, it is a bit noisy at night. The surroundings are quite quiet. There are tram sounds. The bed is small. It is quite clean. The room is not very big. The staff are all very nice.

The room is large, not a traditional chain hotel style, but very European style. The price is slightly higher, the location is not in the city center, travelers who focus on an experience can try it
The room is great, the service is great, and the surrounding transportation is very convenient. Recommended!
Very old-fashioned hotel. We booked it during the exhibition, more than 300 euros per night, not worth the price. The door locks are all old-fashioned keys, and the hotel door is small and always closed. I don't like it. The only advantage is that the room is big
Conveniently located. Warm and friendly reception staffs. Breakfast was overpriced at 34 Euros for a simple spread.
Very good experience, a hotel that reflects history and culture, great breakfast, good rooms, also recommended for family travel; the hotel location is great, nearby is a shopping street, within walking distance.
In short, it is highly recommended to stay
The suite is very large, with high ceilings and an old-fashioned style. The hotel is old, but the facilities are not old. There is also a balcony and kitchen facilities are fully equipped, which is suitable for family travel. The front desk service is very polite. Berlin prices have really skyrocketed, but the hotel price is also okay.

We had such a great time there. It’s a beautiful place, far from the Berlin chaos. The staff was adorable, I highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice hotel!
A stylish hotel with a big garden and terrace. It's about 15-20 minutes drive to the center of Berlin. It's quite and in a very nice/safe area of Berlin. We enjoyed the serenity before going (and after returning) to the busy center of Berlin. We were with our car and choose to have parking place for which you have pay 20 euro's per night. And for our little dog we paid 30 euro's per night.
Beautiful, tranquil hotel nestled in greenery just outside Berlin. Ideal for spa and relaxation, with elegant vintage interiors and thoughtful design details. Located in a safe, residential area where you can truly unwind and even hearing birds intensely chirping. Kind and caring staff, although the service can be limited due to a small team. Breakfast was limited and overpriced.
From the very first moment we arrived, this hotel stole our hearts. It exceeded every expectation with such grace and charm it’s without a doubt the best place I’ve ever stayed in Berlin, and quite possibly anywhere in the world. Everything from the thoughtful attention to detail, to the warm ambiance and impeccable service made our stay feel truly magical.

Great hotel, fantastic facilities.
Lovely hotel with fantastic facilities, swimming pool, gyms, spa, cafe bar and roof terrace. Staff were very helpful, and the room was a good size and well appointed. Would highly recommend.
The people were all very nice to us and helped get us situated for a great stay.
Very clean rooms, great pool and gym. All around a great experience
A bit confused with location of rooms SPA etc…
Hotel behind a turnstile
Generally speaking the hotel was great but one thing to be aware of is that the hotel is inside the gym and to access the rooms you must swipe your key at the gym turnstile. One entry per swipe and as I was only issued a single room key this meant it was impossible for friends to come over for a drink before heading out, or new friends to come back after a drink… Not that that...
Nice room (junior studio) for 3. Excellent and helpful staff, particularly at reception. Central location. Good breakfast.
The only negative was no restaurant in hotel for dinner and no room service. Howe
However, would definitely stay again on our next trip to Berlin

I booked when I was there, as it was midday and I needed a place to stay. The staff was a bit hard to communicate with, and told me to look up the price on booking.com so he could match that.
It would have been so much easier for me to just book directly via that site while standing in front of the reception, instead of talking to the guy in there. Anyway, overall good experience, and it's so quiet...
This is a perfect location if you’re interested in night life and bar hopping… Room I stayed in was spacious and clean. Only downside was that I was awoken one day by the staff that was very eager to clean my room and wanted me to go out so that they can do their job. As mentioned the room was very clean so they probably do a great jobb but I think they could have waited a bit little for me to leave...
Great budget stay in Berlin!! Checking in and out was very smooth. Near many restaurants and shops. Easy to get to the train station. Huge balcony. Generally very clean, but the shower curtains were very moldy on the bottom.
Decent room in a cool area. There are TONS of top rated, affordable restaurants and bars within a few blocks walk. It's a popping area with a mix of young people and families. The room itself is secure, clean, with basic amenities. Our room had a small private bathroom and shower inside, but some rooms do not. Hairdryer is in the room. Das Zimmer war sauber und für 2 Sterne Verhältnisse passend eingerichtet. Ebenso das Bad. Auch wenn dies, selbst für Berliner Verhältnisse, mit einer Grundfläche von 1,5qm wirklich winzig war. Loved the style and “vibe” of the hotel. Beds were super comfy and breakfast was good. The croissants were especially fresh and tasty! The breakfast service has room for improvement though.
Perfect, the room is very distinctive, in the style of an old telegraph office, the breakfast is perfect and impeccable, dining in the central glass hall, ordering breakfast is very ceremonial, the location is very close to Museum Island and attractions and very convenient.
The building was originally a telecommunications facility that has been renovated to house a museum, offices, restaurants, and more. This hotel is one of them.
It’s highly designed and recommended for people with a refined sense of taste.
Throughout the entire space, there is no sign of careless design. You can also feel a sense of professionalism from the staff, as if they take pride in working here...
There is a tram stop near the hotel or it only takes 5-7 minutes to walk to the nearby S-bahn station. The room is stylish and air-conditioned.
The hotel partnered with TechnoGym and guests can access to the gym during the stay - it really worths it.
Right in the city center! Walk to Museum Island! There are Chinese and Asian restaurants nearby, which are delicious! Convenient to go anywhere! The hotel service is considerate. They can help with luggage and book a car when checking out! There is also a bar nearby.
The Telegraph Office was renovated
I have stayed in many renovated hotels, but I was still pleasantly surprised. The color scheme (lights, soft furnishings) in the public areas perfectly solved the cold and alienated feeling of the old industry, giving people a soft mood
