Definitely worth the price. We loved the food, room and the stunning view. Awesome spa offer. But we were not impressed by the reception work. At our arrival we didn’t get proper information about our stay and we got wrong purchases on our bill in the end. We didn’t get the offer to bring the luggage to the room. We were not greeted by hand even though all the other guests were. Not a good first impression...

The room is clean and it feels like you are back on the middle ages. It is located in the middle of the a tourist spot but it is quiet and peaceful. We had a great time!

Its a 450 year old hotel so you don't have air conditioning. But they do give fans. Otherwise it is beautiful. You are living in history. Service is great. The location is amazing!

The hotel is very attractive and our room was large with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and mountains. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Downside it was far too hot in our room at night even with the windows open.

Historic hotel Old but historic hotel with the bath being renovated. Furnitures look more than two hundreds old, including bed frame. But bed mattress are firm and comfort. Overall A- grade.

Wonderful hotel with courteous, polite and helpful staff. Rooms are neat and clean with amazing mountain views. One of the best stays we have ever had. The location is also a plus as it's walking distance from station and City center. A small walk on the right side of the hotel leads to a great view of mountain with valleys.

Really Brilliant and good value. Such a tidy place, friendly and organised. The Bed was super comfortable and the bathroom to the highest standard. I can see what this hotel has such great reviews, it’s a fantastic spot to stay. Good location, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. The Best hotel of our trip! Staff were excellent and so helpful at all times. Great location. Nice room with extra space and a balcony. Coffee maker in the room which was nonexistent in Austria! Excellent breakfast and get snacks in afternoon. Public transport is easy to use. You get a guest pass for free public transport if you stay a couple days.

We had a family room, which exceeded our expectations! It was spacious, exceptionally clean, and the beds were quite comfortable. Our kids loved the bath in the room! We also had a balcony, so we could sit outside while our kids were already sleeping. The lady at the reception desk was very helfpul and gave us great advice on what to visit. Overall we had a good stay at the Hotel Garmischer Hof. The restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and dinner and had a good number of tasty vegetarian and vegan options which was important for us. They also serve lovely home brewed beers. A welcome respite after a very long hike on Zugspitze. Friendly staff and I was also offered an upgrade to a balcony room. The garden restaurant was great as was the menu. A proper old world hotel with great service. Breakfast had many choices for most needs.

My daughter and her travel partner stayed here last week and just loved it. The restaurant, which is award-winning, is out of this world wonderful! Yes, she would definitely stay again. Pricey, but worth it.

Left towels to be replaced with fresh ones but housekeeping took the towels and left us with the hand towels we hadn’t used. No toiletries replaced therefore had to buy shampoo. No soap in the rooms. Garmisch overnight We were put in the apartments. It was raining and required walking in rain and difficulty parking. The next day upon checkout we were told we could have stayed in hotel IF I HAD ASKED. Should have been asked by reception!

Disappointing I have stayed in this hotel several times beginning in 2009. It used to be a wonderful place, but it has gone down drastically in the last few years. The hotel is secluded, accessible by car from the cable car parking lot. Please drive slowly and be mindful of hikers; most hikers will yield. The rooms offer a direct view of the snow-capped mountains, creating a beautiful scenery. The sauna area is well-equipped.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast excellent with a wide choice of cereals, rolls, cheeses, meats and other things. Our superior room was enormouse, comfortable and had a balcony with table and 2 chairs and side views of the mountains. Everything is spotlessly clean. Attractive garden to relax in. Ten minutes walk to restaurants and shops.

This hotel is pretty neat, clean, friendly customer service and seems to be a family owned and operated. The rooms that we got was at the highest floor (3rd floor) with nice different views on each room. They give free breakfast in the mornings and it's quite good too. Will come back here again hopefully next time

Long ago this location was a flour mill, now a luxury hotel and spa in Garmisch. Rooms were clean, bed firm. They have a small gym, and many spa services. The bar has a decent selection of spirits, wine and beer. There is a lovely walking path along the river.

Amazing hotel - it has everything one might need, location is beautiful, service is excellent, food is great at breakfast, lunch and especially dinner, spa offers sauna and inside/outside pools. We will definitely come again.

I had a great stay at this hotel, and the best part was that the room had proper air conditioning – a rare and much-appreciated feature in this region.
