Best Hotels in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

The hotel is very attractive and our room was large with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and mountains. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Its a 450 year old hotel so you don't have air conditioning. But they do give fans. Otherwise it is beautiful. You are living in history. Service is great. The location is amazing!

The restaurants around the hotel are fantastic, and though I was initially skeptical about the 18 euro breakfast, the variety and selection alone, not even accounting for the effort and service, was far beyond anything I have experienced anywhere else

The items were fresh, delicious, and plenty. Honestly, as one other review mentioned, my only gripe was the church directly adjacent chiming it's bell through the night, but I carry earplugs so that was minor for me

At this stage, I have been abroad in Europe on a motorcycle for 10 days. I have stayed in several hotels, hostels, and hovels across 5 countries, and let me tell you, this has been the greatest hotel experience yet

The evening clerk was fantastic, knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely professional, while still being able to joke that I looked like a wet cat upon my arrival

Coffee maker in the room which was nonexistent in Austria! Excellent breakfast and get snacks in afternoon. Public transport is easy to use. You get a guest pass for free public transport if you stay a couple days

Breakfasts were great with a brilliant choice of Continental style and UK-type style. Location was not spectacular in scenery, but being in the best part of town & handy shops; so I say 5 Stars

Amazing front of house staff that will go above and beyond to help you. Rooms beautifully clean and well appointed. Breakfast had plenty of options and having breakfast on the terrace was a delightful experience

Our second time here was just as delightful as the first. Everyone here is very welcoming and provided great service. Started with cheese plate. Salad and ribs for main courses. Everything was great.

We had a family room, which exceeded our expectations! It was spacious, exceptionally clean, and the beds were quite comfortable

What we missed was a kettle and tea and coffee in the room. Ski boot room was good with heaters. Good location if you are taking the train to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, as we did

Our kids loved the bath in the room! We also had a balcony, so we could sit outside while our kids were already sleeping. The lady at the reception desk was very helfpul and gave us great advice on what to visit

The one woman at the front desk was downright unfriendly, everyone else very friendly Restaurant: good Bar (Jürgens Club): never again Garmisch: worth a trip

The other staff of the restaurant was also very friendly. Would recommend staying here with young children

The apartments are very large and we enjoy the great views and newly furnished amenities. Close to to pedestrian zone and other activities.

Very clean The Atlas Hotel is probably one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. I would stay there again.

I was surprised with how nice this hotel was. The reviews were not always good but my experience was fantastic. 2nd story rooms looked newer but in a classic style. I will certainly consider staying here again!

Easy check in with friendly staff. Nice looking hotel let down by housekeeping. Left towels to be replaced with fresh ones but housekeeping took the towels and left us with the hand towels we hadn’t used

Short stay Very short stay, nice quiet room, in old traditional annex residence. There could have been a bit more attention to guests at breakfast, but we got by Otherwise excellent.

It is quite good, but the German restaurant was really special. I really doubt that I will stay here again

Maybe good to know that this is not a place for party people. The restaurant closes at around 21-22h and there is no real bar. But if you are looking for the perfect place to relax, this is it!

The hotel is a dream come true. The surroundings are stunning. Plenty of options for great hikes, even in winter! The food is absolutely delicious and our room was spacious and bright

This property is in a beautiful setting with one of the most majestic views I’ve ever seen. Access to the property begins with a picturesque ride on the Die Graseckbahn (cable car)

I attended a family wedding and stayed two nights. The staff was extremely professional, food was impeccable and atmosphere was serene. Access to hiking and the town amenities is very convenient

A special mention must go to Franz Josef, the restaurant manager, whose warmth, attentiveness and deep knowledge of the cuisine and high-end whisky elevated our dining experience

Friendly and nice hotel where we enjoyed our stays. The rooms on the annex across the street are classic design. We stayed in the top room with a beautiful view over the mountain side

One of the best hotel experiences I've had! I usually don't review hotels as I've come to expect the same experience over time but this hotel was exceptional

I have stayed in countless hotels and this one just became my #1 hotel! The views are fantastic, staff is so helpful. The tall gentlemen with dark hair in reception helped me curate my day to my needs

There is a fitness room as well. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices. There is an area in the dining where you can get an all day (great quality) coffee and juice, as well as dishes

The hotel is about 2km from the city center, but just outside is the busstop that drives right into the city (and back. Very convenient and easy means of transportation in the city

They have like 4 different saunas: bio sauna, Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, and brechelbad sauna, as well as a steam room and cold plunge. They also have a pool and fitness room

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast excellent with a wide choice of cereals, rolls, cheeses, meats and other things

They give free breakfast in the mornings and it's quite good too. Will come back here again hopefully next time

Also, be aware there is no elevator and our room was three flights up. There is no restaurant but many good ones are a 10 minute walk. Enjoyed great wine along with snacks in the relaxing garden

Friendly staff, efficient service and tasty breakfast with very good coffee and espresso. We booked a two room suite but second bedroom could only access the bathroom thru the first bedroom

This hotel is pretty neat, clean, friendly customer service and seems to be a family owned and operated. The rooms that we got was at the highest floor (3rd floor) with nice different views on each room

Our superior room was enormouse, comfortable and had a balcony with table and 2 chairs and side views of the mountains. Everything is spotlessly clean. Attractive garden to relax in

As far as dining goes, breakfast is included. The kitchen also serves awesome food for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is served seven days a week. The restaurant is closed otherwise on Sunday and Monday for anything else

Room was comfortable and clean. Pillows were a little flat though and the rooms a little small. The stay was pleasant. Had a very good breakfast.

We stayed here for the last half of our vacation. This was my wife’s first time in Germany and I wanted her to experience Bavaria as it should be. We were greeted very enthusiastically by the lady at the desk

Staff seemed to be always busy elsewhere, covering reception, whilst also in charge of breakfast, staff were lovely just overworked. Location is excellent, and as I say rooms very clean

After giving us the room key, she made sure we knew how to use the elevator and get to our room. It had a balcony that overlooked the train station and bus stops. We had a great view of the mountains

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Garni Brunnthaler very much! Very lovely,traditional Bavarian comfort, while still having all of the modern conveniences. Very clean, good sized room, nice WC with shower

This hotel is in a stunning location; we were a short walk away from the main street, mountains, and the train station. The staff were very welcoming and helpful as well during our stay

We unfortunately had some noisy neighbours in the room upstairs, who sounded like they were walking around with ski boots on, but all the surrounding areas were very peaceful

The bathroom was very spacious and the room had a lovely little balcony where you could have some outside space. Looking forward to staying here again in the future

Incredible food and fantastic service. Starter: Beef goulash, tender piece of beef, beautifully spiced in a goulash soup

Main: Perch (zander) also perfectly spiced and cooked, served with beautifully seasoned salted potatoes and spinach. Delicious and a nice Espresso to finish

If you like the bed and breakfast type atmosphere rather than a hotel setting then this is surely one of the best in town. Be sure you contact the desk if you plan to arrive after 9PM to make arrangements

I stayed here for 3 nights and it was such a great stay! The host, Christiane, was such a sweet lady and was super helpful. The hotel is a 4-minute walk from the train station platform (and also a grocery store)

The main area of Garmisch (with shops, restaurants, and a tourist information center) is about a 5- to 7-minute walk away. The area itself is very safe, quiet, and peaceful, with mountain views in every direction

The bathroom was also a good size with more than enough counter and storage space

The kind host also allowed us to store luggage until our bus later in the day -extremely helpful. And the best part was kisses from her dog :). Really great experience, we hope to be back!

Special thanks to the owner for personally picking me up after my climb of the Alpspitze (the last shuttle had just left). If I have to make one remark: there is only one booking option, which is full board

Since we were out hiking all day, we didn’t make use of the lunch. I asked if we could get a picnic instead, and while that was possible, it came with an extra charge rather than replacing the lunch

I wasn’t too happy about that, especially considering we had already paid quite a substantial amount for five days

The staff at the front desk were very helpful with picking restaurants, where to get ski gear and where to go for the best hikes

Plus it had a soaking tub, small seating area and a balcony for only (approximately) 10 Euro more/night. The included breakfast was fresh and delicious

From the start, the hotel staff was very accommodating. They got us into a bigger, nicer room than what we originally booked and it was a corner room

The interior of our room, the lobby and dinning room had the traditional Bavarian decor but without feeling old-fashioned or out-dated

Wonderful hotel within walking distance from the train station. The beautiful building is full of Bayerisch charm, nice views from the room. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, there is even a small indoor swimming pool

Fantastic location and extremely friendly and helpful staff. We had a short walk into Garmisch each evening for dinner and/or drinks and as we drove it was centrally located to sites we wanted to see

The walk to the train station was 5 min and to the main street in Garmisch-Partenkirchen was not much further Simply an awesome place to use as a base to explore the region!!!!

Very comfortable rooms, good price, friendly staff, breakfast was among the best I've had in Germany (standard "continental" fare but a very good selection and everything fresh and delicious)

It's quaint, clean, and fresh with balconies off the room. The breakfast included is the best and includes a wide variety of items such as meats, vegetables, cheeses, cereals and breads

Just a couple of minutes walking distance to the city centre with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. Room was more than nice and clean with comfortable bed and patio seating. Breakfast was ample, fresh and tasty

The beds were comfortable and the pillows were soft and squeezable. There is no AC, but that is not an issue. The nights are cool, you can sleep with the patio door open, and there is a fan in the room if needed

Partenkirchen center us a 10 minute walk. Both places have a great selection of restaurants. Parking is free at the hotel. It is limited and you can park nearby on the streets if needed
