If you want to enjoy the GAP area this is a perfect location. Grainau and Längenfelder Hof is a great choice for alpine scenery. You can get here by the small train and will do well without a car. I recommend you rent bicycles (electric or other) as you have access to great roads and paths.

The apartments are very comfortable, we were 2 adults and 5 children. Everything you need for life is available, warm and wide. The area is quiet, through the windows and balconies with wonderful views of the mountains, yet close to everything you need - shops, ski slopes. There is a parking possibility even with a minibus. We definitely recommend both a small company and a big company.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during a very snowy January trip we made to Europe for a friends wedding. Beautiful hotel that we would of loved to have had more time staying in. They had a delicious afternoon buffet with free food in the bar. Nice spa on site. You can purchase tickets to many things on site as well. We bought our zugspitze tickets there and were able to skip all the lines at the base. We would definitely stay here again. It is several blocks from downtown, but not a bad walk.

We ate 2 very delicious meals here! Both were biological and vegan. Very friendly personel. Very clean tables. Drinks (coffee and hot chocomel) were a bit expensive. The meals were good priced for the quality (also biologic) and large amount.

We ordered in house beer and deer (Venison) meat. The beer fragrance was fresh and taste was well balanced. Food was perfect and nicely prepared. As a Bio hotel and restaurant you can always expect it to be little expensive but it was worth it. Due to Christmas celebration in Hotel, there was some delay in serving the food but otherwise it was nice evening.

This hotel is pretty neat, clean, friendly customer service and seems to be a family owned and operated. The rooms that we got was at the highest floor (3rd floor) with nice different views on each room. They give free breakfast in the mornings and it's quite good too. It was a very nice hotel. Nice air conditioning and I like the classic Bavarian style. There was a thai man visiting during my stay and when I went to check out, suddenly he had his guards arrest me! Apparently this was the king of Thailand and I called him discount Obama online and apparently that’s bad. Now I’m serving 45 years in prison lol.
