The accommodation is beautiful. The room has hair that may not be cleaned properly.

The location is, of course, phenomenal. Directly on the idyllic Badersee with a breathtaking mountain panorama. Pure nature, like something out of a picture book.

The person on the reception did not speak well neither English, nor German, and it was impossible to understand her. Rooms were mixed up (even though I clearly discussed on the phone that best room is for the bride), instead all luggage were carried in the wrong room. We liked that we could walk to town, where restaurants were plenty, and was a very short drive to the Zugspitze. But above all this, we absolutely love the Mountain Views, the beautiful flowers and the peace and quiet.

The front office staff are some of the nicest and most accommodating we had on our trip. They help with anything you need. The only little problem with the room was that there was no air conditioning in the room so it got a little stuffy and hot in the night time.

I recommend this to those who are traveling to Zugspisee or Alpspisee by rental car. It is a little far from the city, but you can see the morning sun and sunset over the snow-covered mountains from the hotel. There is also a small lake if you take a walk right near the hotel. We spent three wonderful nights here in early spring. Our room was incredibly spacious for three people, and we loved the breathtaking mountain view. The breakfast was good enough to start the day, but the star of the show was definitely the beautiful indoor heated pool. The lady at reception when we checked in May 26 around noon was incredibly helpful and even helped us to our room. She was so very kind during our whole stay. I use a cane and must have looked so tired, she was so kind. When we left , I felt I was leaving a good friend. All of the staff was super kind but she was exceptional. God bless her!

Everything was great. A small point to note is that there is no air conditioning for the room during winter season, hence you’ll have to leave the windows open as it gets a little stuffy overtime.

It was a very nice hotel. Nice air conditioning and I like the classic Bavarian style. There was a thai man visiting during my stay and when I went to check out, suddenly he had his guards arrest me! Apparently this was the king of Thailand and I called him discount Obama online and apparently that’s bad. Now I’m serving 45 years in prison lol.

The hotel is well located, and many excursions can be started from there. The hotel is a bit older. This is evident from the stains on the carpet and upholstery. There is a large TV, but it is not usable at all due to poor reception. Overall, it is a well-kept older hotel, good as a base, but not really for a staycation.

The location is a little far from the station, but it is within walking distance. The facilities are a little old, but the environment and sanitation are still OK. You can see the mountain when you open the window. The breakfast is also quite good, but there were many people staying on the day I went, and you had to queue up to get coffee. It was one of the warmest day in summer when we stayed there, when the windows were widely opened, the room temperature decreased by the gentle mountain wind. The night was quiet with open windows. The decor in the room is with a Bavarian dining table, the size of room is enough for a couple and a dog. The staff were friendly.

We felt very comfortable at the Alphotel. It's not super-modern, but it was clean and well-maintained. Lovely hotel just outside the main part of the village. Very polite and friendly staff; pool and sauna available on arrival but we didn’t use. Booked evening meal at time we wanted on arrival also. We went to Alphotel Ettal as part of our package to see the Passion Play. The hotel itself was quaint - room was cozy, especially the shower, but had everything we needed. We stayed here as a group from South Africa to attend the passion play in oberammergau. The staff were very friendly, efficient and went out of their way to make sure that we were tended t. The food was lovely and the breakfast pack for the airport fantastic!
