Perfect room. Comfy bed. However... our privacy was disrupted during our first day when other guests got into our room using the same key. I suppose this happens because all the rooms on the same floor have the same key, since the key also opens the middle hallway door that goes to the rooms. Also, Saturday night was very noisy due to the pub downstairs.

Great location. However, that’s the only good thing I can say about this hotel.
We booked to stay Thursday - Sunday. On Friday and Saturday evening, there was music so loud from their venue below, that we could feel it when we slept, and it was impossible to ignore. When we went downstairs to ask when the music would stop, the receptionist said midnight, but it was playing well past 1am.
The hotel staff did not offer to relocate us in a different room, apologise, or offer any compensation. The hotel staff said they would tell the function to switch off the music / at midnight, but did not do so. We would have appreciated being warned upon booking (or arrival) that there were going to be events on in the evening.
I would not recommend staying here if you want a good nights sleep and good service.

AVOID THIS HOTEL IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP!
What they don't tell you is that this hotel has its own function venue, taking up much of the ground, 1st and 2nd floors. The two nights we there, they hosted insanely loud parties until 2am - so loud our bed on the 4th floor was literally vibrating! There was little by way of apology the next morning except that "they have a very busy December for parties"...
The rooms themselves are okay (nothing special), and the location is great - but next time we are in Cologne we will try a hotel that we can actually sleep in!

An absolute must if you want to experience the Kölsche culture, locals, food. Bier is the best and made in-house. Food is typical Cologne culture and amazing. We would have loved to be able to try the entire menu.
Service is excellent and food is fast.
Our hotel room was upstairs. Lovely room and very convenient.
If I could return I would choose to stay here again.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. We had a room at the backside of the hotel. Just outside of the rooms, there is a ventilation unit, which is running non stop and makes some noise.
When we checked out on Sunday. We wanted to leave our bags in the hotel, and pick them up in the evening before we go back home. The staff told us we had to be back before 2 pm. after that time the entrance would be locked and all staff would be gone.

Good service Beautiful rooms, 1 free drink per guest on arival. Nice view on de Dom Of Cologne. Con: all german tv. Even english voices are german. But overall a nice stay.

Nice Hotel, located near the Rein river, place with many well known beer garden, pubs, and various ethnic restaurants. 15 minutes walk from the main station and the famous Dom.
The staff is kind and welcoming. A good base to visit Koln. You can also access to a famous beer brewery with the hotel lifter.

Clean but basic, breakfast was not great, ended up paying way too much. Location is central but not nice.
