The room description is wrong, we booked room with 1 double bed & 1 double sofa bed but we were surprised to find the sofa-bed single, the staff was not helpful and did nothing to fix this despite sending them the confirmation with detailed booking

The room is spacious and comfortable, with the possibility of preparing coffee or hot chocolate. Good breakfast, Convenient public parking in front of the hotel.

My conference was well planned and the food was delicious and offered me a lot of choice as a vegetarian. The staff was friendly and always helpful despite the huge number of guests (due to the Mannheim Garden Show). Meeting rooms were poorly cooled on the first day.
The next day at lunchtime I couldn't pass on my room concerns because there were so many guests because my toilet seat (room 614) was already broken when I checked in and I had to be careful because of the risk of injury.
Otherwise everything was fine and I was able to enjoy my beer in the garden in the evening!

Our room was not very clean. It smelled strange and the curtains and toilet were dirty.

Mercure usually have a good 4* standard. For me it means clean at the very least. This Mercure is very old and not clean. Not the kind of room where you will walk barefooted after your shower. I'm sure they suffered from corona but that's not a reason.
