I stayed at this hotel and found it to be quite nice. It’s a standard hotel that provides everything you need. The location is perfect, with the U-Bahn station just 1 minute away and the bus station equally close. It’s an awesome choice for short-term accommodation.

Very nice hotel close to subway station, and Autobahn, convenient to trade fair. Food is worth it's price and excellent. Update April 2023: food and service still excellent. Prices still not excessive. Update May 2024: above still holds. Update February 2024: prices raised according to new tax laws, not excessive. Still excellent.

Excellent spacious room! Shame no coffee and Tea making facilities! We ate out at a famous pizza restaurant just down the road called Pinocchio so didn't try the bar! Breakfast was a nightmare with not enough tables and people gathering about people to try get them to hurry up to eat!

Great, affordable place in Nuremberg. Rooms are modern and spacious. The one oddity is the shower being open to the living room. Fine for couples but might be awkward when having to share a room on a business trip. Staff and breakfast get full marks. Well done. Overall my stay was great, however I think there are a few things that could be better. 1. There are no locks on the room doors (like you would see in a normal hotel - none at all). We had a great stay at the Karl August. Everything about the room was clean, comfortable and practical. The staff is friendly, well-informed and responsive. The location was superb. Lovely hotel with beautiful rooms and a huge lobby with plenty of seating and a fireplace. The pool is great - with windows that give you a view of the city centre. The sauna was also fantastic. Breakfast was a delight!

When I entered the hotel, they gave me a dirty, untidy room (see photo), even though I arrived in the afternoon and had to complain to change rooms. The person at the reception was kind and changed my room.

Great place to stay weather you have an early flight or your flight got delayed. I will definitely recommend to my friends. Bar was very helpful with great options of food as well as drinks. About 20 min walk from Nuremberg Station, the road is quite easy to walk even with bigger luggage. The area is also about 20 to 30min walk to main attractions (e.g. marketplace), overall quite accessible. To note that immediately next to the hotel is a red light area, will need to take another path when walking back if avoiding the area.

Overall, the cleaning staff was a bit perfunctory. They didn't take out the trash in the room once, and didn't refill the small refrigerator with new drinks and water. I reported it to the front desk and they brought new drinks. As a result, they didn't refill it the next day. I was speechless. . .

Had gone for the Nuremberg fair in Jan. The service was commendable, there is no porter service to the room though. Close to the train station and bus station. 15 mins from old town and most locations Breakfast was a really good spread. Room was clean, the towels aren't replaced daily unless you ask them. Room doesn't have an AC so can get hot. Not sure if other rooms come with AC though.

Excellent experience in the mirror suite #44 !! Enjoyed several bubble baths & brilliant views right in the middle of the charming town. Service was absolutely wonderful, helped us make dinner reservations and train tickets, gave recommendations - even walked us to our dinner ! Enjoyed a happy hour glass of wine every night . I visited Nürnberg for business trip and stayed in this hotel. The situation is great, 12 minutes walk from Railway Station, the service was really nice and the breakfast delicious with a lot of different options. Very easy access to city center with direct subway right in front of it. Taxi can cost up to 15 euro and take long as there are many red lights and can be traffic. The breakfast is good but only until 9:30 which can be a bit tight. Staffs are nice.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. We were there for 7 days. Room was spacious, staff were friendly and the hotel was quaint. The location of the hotel is central which is handy. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that it got very hot at night time ( we were there in July) fans were provided but not sufficient. Perhaps blackout blinds and aircon would do the trick.

My wife and I were just passing through and we stayed one night at this hotel. While we were overly fond of the rooms, we thought the water in the pool was too cold. We also felt that 25€ per person for breakfast was a bit steep of a price. Otherwise, the service from the staff was nice.

The hotel was nice in all aspects, except the bed was very uncomfortable. We also got 2x singles on a couple holiday which isn't ideal (but that's not factored into this rating as I understand that situation). Staff were friendly, room was clean, and location was brilliant.

The room is spacious and clean. I am especially impressed with their buffet breakfast, which is thus far the best breakfast I have experienced in Germany. What’s more is the extensive hours for breakfast. At weekends, breakfast is served from 6.30am to 12pm!!! It really considers guests’ needs to get up late at weekends.

This is by far the best hotel I have ever visited for 100€ The hotel has parking, looks fresh, the room (standard room) had; mini bar, safe, desk, chair, sofa, big tv, art, cabinette for cloths, hair dryer, full tile bathroom with make up lighted mirror, rain forrest shower, full series with Rituals soap/shampoo/shower foam. Gluten free options on the menu. Pool, bar and what not. 10/10

It's the 4th time I've stayed at this hotel. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. The hotel itself is clean and tidy and kept up to date. Only negative is paying for car parking is still not great as a guest staying 4 nights.

Staff are really friendly open willing to help him multiple different, room is good quality bed is comfortable and is also able to accommodate tall people, bathroom offers shower no bath but the shower is able to accommodate tall people. WiFi is ok whoever it is limited usage on the standard package.

It's to expensive. It's good and clean. Nice and quiet. For this price i think the parking should be free. But here you need pay everything for extra. 100 for night and you don't have breakfast no parking.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Five while visiting Nuremberg this August. The location couldn't be better, being just steps away from all the beautiful "old city" squares, cathedrals and castle.
