Misleading listing, dishonest practices, and complete waste of time

This place should not be called a hotel. It is essentially a hostel operating out of a very old, poorly maintained building that looks close to collapsing. The condition of the property is nothing like what is implied online.

We booked this place through Booking.com, but upon arrival, we were told that the property was “full”. Immediately after that, they tried to redirect us to another hotel they are affiliated with — a different property with terrible ratings on Google. This clearly felt like a deliberate bait-and-switch tactic.

Because of this, I had to spend several hours on the same day searching for alternative accommodation, physically visiting multiple hotels, after already arriving tired and with luggage. It completely disrupted our plans and caused unnecessary stress.

While waiting at the reception, it became obvious that this is not an isolated incident. I personally witnessed or was informed that they do this with many other customers as well — overbooking on platforms and then pushing guests to inferior properties.

Based on this experience, it is hard to trust the reviews on Booking.com for this place. It strongly appears that paid or manipulated reviews are being used to misrepresent the reality.

This was an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience. Avoid this place entirely if you value transparency, your time, and peace of mind. There are far better and more honest accommodations available elsewhere.

The accommodation is called a hotel when in reality it is a pension or hostel. I paid 200 Euros for a deluxe room with a balcony overlooking the city and a private bathroom. The room they gave me was not clean, no balcony but windows with a view blocked by wire and a semblance of vegetation. The bed linen was almost non-existent (no sheet, only an old blanket), had stains of different sizes and suspicious, the reversible air conditioning did not work, no bathroom or private shower but only a shower head above the toilet, which was completely black. Stains on the walls, mouse droppings on the window sill. I arrived on a night flight, at 4:30 I was there. They did not have another room available at that time. It would have been necessary to wait until noon to see if the lady in the room I had paid for would actually leave. I preferred not to stay in order to avoid catching any insects. I was even more surprised to see only a voucher offer from *******, the hotel having refused the refund. I had to find another hotel urgently, which cost me an additional 200 euros. I am requesting a full refund for the room. It is unacceptable to agree to keep this hotel with the published photos since they in no way represent the reality of the situation. I am requesting a full refund before taking any measures.

Worst hotel we have ever stayed in, rude staff who tried to scam us and filth everywhere. After coming back from the pyramids in Giza we used the towels in our room to wipe the sand off our faces and hands and upon check out the reception staff demanded we pay 100 Egyptian pounds for damages for using the towels which we had already paid for as part of our room which we paid nearly 2000 Egyptian pounds for 2 nights. The room we stayed in was highly recommended by the receptionist was dirty, with dust and grime and the bedding had not been changed. The reception staff were extremely rude, ignorant and aggressive for no reason so we spoke to the supervisor who removed the nonsensical charge for the towel but this hotel is definitely not worth the hassle, extremely unprofessional, dirty and filthy. I highly recommend avoiding this place as there are so many better places nearby who do not scam you.

Very thin walls, dirty sheets, bad sound resistance, dirty air conditioner.

Arriving at the hotel around 8 p.m., the room reserved for 10 days was not available. We were offered a room supposedly in the annex of the recently renovated hotel, while it was a boarding school not far from the hotel, something we had refused and ******* took care of us in another hotel. An act of proven and condemnable unprofessionalism. However, we appreciate Expedia's speed in resolving the problem.
