When I arrived, the room was not ready - I had to ask for toilet paper, a glass to brush teeth/drink water (got one glass and 8 paper cups), no hangers, no table/luggage table. Dust on the floor. The manager with glasses helped to get a couple of these things, thank you. Brought in the table from the balcony myself - dirty, dusty. While some rooms had dryers/lines to dry wet clothes, my room had nothing. Room doors had holes in them. TV/phone - not working. Fridge - a bit cold, but leaking water. AC - working, but loud and no difference between +13 and +30. Two trash bins, both broken. Curtains have not been washed, probably since the opening of the hotel. Mirrors - wiped with a dirty rag. Also, balcony doors have gaps, and sometimes geckos come into the room. The mattress seemed new and good, the bedding clean. Sadly, it was not changed in a week, as well as the towels. Asked for a Do Not Disturb sign at the reception, and it was noted down, but I never got one. Asked for toilet paper on another occasion - got half a roll. Cleaning - the room properly cleaned twice in 7 days, even when asked if to clean the room and saying yes, nothing was done. I did not understand how cleaning works - upon request, every second day, daily, etc. Food - great restaurant team - cleaners work fast, help with finding a table. Food - sometimes delicious, sometimes ok, a lot of desserts, but repetitive - pasta, potatoes, sauteed vegetables, etc. During lunch, queues form, not enough tables. Bus to Dahab - old, no AC, everything hanging by a thread, but other groups got a better one. WiFi - available at the reception, but it's not loading Facebook. Slow, sometimes doesn't work at all. 3 pools seem nice, but not enough loungers, even if there is space for more. Harsh chlorine is used, burns eyes, and affects skin. Only one pool bar is working, young bartenders seem fine. Everything in paper/plastic cups. People, kids can do whatever they like on the slides - face-first, backwards, climbing up, etc. - accidents waiting to happen. Animation - no clear schedule for what and where, when it is happening. Seen stretching and water aerobics happening. Evening entertainment - the usual (fire show, Miss Hotel, etc.). And about an hour of disco after that. There were three fire shows in a week. The fire dancer is great. Beach - uncomfortable. Very rocky, no proper entrance, pontoon - often crowded, deep. Everybody is ordered out of the water at 18. The reef is beautiful thou. Not enough sun loungers, too many people, and many broken umbrellas. Had a late pick up time, I was not allowed to have lunch after checkout at 12. Had a great meal at the pool bar. They have a nice infrastructure, but the whole management needs work, the hotel needs more maintenance, and the guests need more care. The whole team could improve their English. Currently, not worth the price.
