Premiere Classe Lyon Centre Gare Part Dieu

This was my first time in Lyon and I was here for the Olympics. Olympic spirit was lacking at this hotel compared to the one I stayed at in Paris. Great location in relation to Lyon Part-Dieu (just a 10 minute walk) and there are a number of restaurants, pubs, eateries in the area too so no need to use a car as majority of these spots are within walking distance. Buffet breakfast was served in the restaurant next door and this was the highlight for me in addition to its location. Housekeeping was lovely - they were really polite. Air conditioning unit was basically a relic and loud. I slept with my window cracked open on a night when it didn't seem to be working properly and was noisy. The temperature in Lyon was in the high 30s so I feel like a working air conditioner is a must in summer. There are lifts (thank goodness) and the lift has ads about upcoming shows at the restaurant next door if you're looking for entertainment. I wouldn't stay here again if the air conditioner isn't upgraded but it was somewhat good value for money for the time period. I stayed here for 3 nights.
