Hôtel du Lion d'Or Louvre

I received a warm welcome when I checked in and was impressed by the location and cleanliness of the hotel. The breakfast was served in an intimate, relaxed environment and sets you up for the day. All of the staff were professional and friendly.

I've recently visited 11 countries in the last 4 weeks using 4 star hotels - this has been the most comfortable and relaxing of them all. As you would expect from a small hotel the breakfasts are simpler but there are plenty of options close by.
It position to the Louvre and the metro is fantastic.

It is quiet, quaint and peaceful.
The staff are eager to help and very friendly.
Consider this place as a couple.

3 day stay before heading home after visiting other’s countries. Location was great for those wanting to visit the Louvre. Multiple Fragrance Shops within a few blocks for those who love perfume. Rooms are small but comfortable. Breakfast was ok but for the cost of our stay fairly mediocre. Overall I would recommend staying at this hotel and I would stay there again for sure.

This hotel was perfect for me- I researched for months and could not make a decision until I read the reviews for Lion D'Or Louvre Hotel. As a solo female traveler, I was looking for safe, clean, affordable, and comfortable lodging in a location where I could walk to many sites on my itinerary. As you know, rooms in Paris are small, but my room was perfect for me. A safe, tea, coffee, comfy bed, a window that opened, elevator etc. I wasn't really unpacking my suitcase before traveling to Sarlat, so that wasn't an issue for me. I'm sure they would have stored my suitcase if I needed to unpack completely. The owner and front desk staff were amazing - so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is included if you book directly on their site; it was delicious! It was convenient and there was something for everyone. I will never stay anywhere else in Paris!! My stay was perfect! The owner and staff work so hard to exceed expectations, and it is evident. Thank you to every single person at the hotel who made my stay perfect.

I had no expectations when I booked this property as I was just looking for reasonable accommodation during the Olympics and this hotel delivered in all aspects. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast each morning was good. Location was perfect as it was in walking distance to the Louvre and very easy access to the metro which made getting around way. There were many good restaurants in walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved this hotel. The staff was kind and the location was perfect. One direction you were a short walk to the Louvre. Walk the other way and you are in a quaint neighborhood with outdoor cafes, a market and laundromat. Our unit had a loft and kitchette and was plenty spacious for two kids and two adults. Close to Metro, too.

I really enjoyed my stay here! The rooms are on the small side but that's to be expected for a fair price right in the heart of Paris. So so close to all of the main sights. Breakfast was fine but get there early because some things run out.

The best part was how lovely the staff were. So friendly and kind, nothing short of excellent service.

As Paris goes, for the price, our bedroom was a good size and well situated in the 1st. I don't think we factored in that our room was situated on the 3rd floor without a lift, so will book a room lower down next time. Small kitchenette, although un-used by us, would make a longer stay easier, being able to make your own breakfast or light meals if you didn't fancy eating out, so ideal for a work based stay in that respect. We were there late August so many shops & bars were closed, so room was quiet and a surprisingly good air con dealt with the heat aspect of that time in Paris.
