Hôtel Du Prince Eugène

I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone due to its bad service.

Rooms are clean and the location is so convenient that you can access to the nearest station in 5 minutes on foot, and in 10 minutes to the city center by train.

However, the service was awful... they could not change the dates of my stay, despite that I requested it 2 month before my stay and just after my booking as well as the rooms are not full. It was not big change(only 6 nights stay to 5 nights), so I was so surprized. I would understand and could accept it if my stay were during olympic, but it was not. The name of the staff member was Alexandra, whom other comment referred to as bad.

In addition, when I arrived at this hotel, it seemed that one staff member expressed a kind of bad feeling to me on her face. I don't know why, but I hope it was not a kind of unconscious discrimination bcz I'm Asian. I had other bad experiences here, but I must stop here as I don't wanna make my good memories in France stained.

Even though I made a reservation on their website and paid twice, they do not make the reservation. I paid for the second time and it was deducted from my card, but they cannot create a reservation because their website gives an error. They don't help at all. Some tourist trap, I guess. Never make a reservation.

Ring was stolen!
My partner forgot her ring on the nightstand. 2 hours after checking out she called the hotel and they said nothing was found. We were 100% sure she left it there, so it is not possible they couldn’t found it.
Next to that, the 2 person bed was 140 cm wide! That’s really really small for two persons. Maybe it’s just enough for two children.

I had booked a double deluxe room for three nights. When arriving we got given room 605. This was a double standard room. I had found this out because of a sign inside in every room at the back of the room door. I had not been informed at all that we were downgraded and therefore extremely dissapointed because i did indeed book a deluxe room and was paying for it while getting a standard room. When asking the next morning in reception, staff were clueless and said they can give us some „discounts” without specifying for what at all or something else but didnt know what to say…, the next day supposedly the manager was in and i got offered free breakfast for the rest of my stay which didnt cover the cost of the room change. I was NEVER offered the correct room……? just free breakfast but so i insisted on getting my money back for atleast the price of the room differential and got that done or atleast hopefully the money will arrive in my account after a maximum of 5 business days. Overall still very extremely dissapointing that i didnt stay in the room i BOOKED and didnt get offered to stay in it at all so my expectations where completely ruined. Also the rooms are very close to each other on tight corridors so every opening of another door is very loud and literally can wake you up depending on how deep you sleep, this was also quite annoying. Overall I dont recommend it at all due to the problems we incurred.
