If you remember that this is a 2-star hotel, it’s a good value. Terrific location. Staff very friendly. Building is modest, room is small but all very clean. If you’re on a budget in Paris but want to be in the Marais, this works just fine.

Friendly and helpful staff, small rooms, generally clean. This isn’t the fanciest hotel in Paris, but the location justifies a higher than average price for a two-star hotel.

This “hotel” is in deplorable condition. The floors slant as does the unlit dangerous stairs (no elevator). Even the shower is sloped. The lights often don’t work, the walls and carpet are filthy, and they act shocked when you ask for a bath towel. Nothing is provided. It is located directly across from a men’s shower show (use your imagination) which is open all night. When the noise keeps you up all hours, you can enjoy the view from your window of the rats running. You cannot control the temperature, so have to resort to trying to sleep with the windows open. We had a do not disturb on our door and received a knock before checkout wanting to come in.

In the very centre of the Marais but a very very tired hotel in real need of refurbishment. Clean but the carpets were worn through in places, and the "welcome" at reception didn't even include a smile. There are better placs located in the area for maybe €20 a night more

This is a 2-star hotel and, for what it is, it's nearly perfect. Amazing location, seriously cannot get any better than that, right at le Marais, my absolute fav area of the city, right next to a subway station, many bars, restaurants, walkable distance to many attractions, we seriously couldn't have picked a better place. Room is good, clean, shower is small but doable. Lots of stairs, but this is Paris and a 2-star hotel, you know what you're getting. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because during our stay wifi didn't seem to work and neither did the small fridge, we let them know about the fridge, they said it would be fixed but never was ( we only wanted to keep a bottle of water and a couple sandwiches cool so they let us use their fridge, but still would be nice to have a working one in the room). We (a couple) would definitely consider staying there again.

This is a hotel I would recommend. The room we stayed was small but clean and comfortable enough to sleep and shower. The location was 10/10, there are a lot of stuff close by and is very near important monuments. The staff were helpful and friendly. Price might be a little higher for how the rooms are but it is Paris.

This was our first visit to Paris and the hotel was great!!! 😍☺️Service is very friendly, they do speak English, ready to help you. It's situated right in the center, but the price is very comfortable. Thank you a lot, guys, you're great ❤️❤️❤️Next time we are coming to you again

Third floor:
Small room, dirty, smelly. Towels don't smell clean at all; the bed smells.
The building itself is sinking; it is an unsafe structure and should be demolished.
Second floor:
The maintenance crew is a joke. The towel hook in the bathroom is falling, the toilet seat doesn't stay up, and my favorite: when they removed the ceiling chandelier, instead of putting up a plastic plate, they tape it. See picture. This is a two-star hotel? Really? It's a dumpster.

An old, tacky hotel with terrible service! I'll leave you some pictures so you can judge for yourself. A two-star hotel with a super-high room rate for what it offers. The building is extremely unsafe, and old. They turn off the heating (-1ºC), and if you ask them to fix the shower (the shabbiest I've ever seen), they don't even bother to fix it. Cobwebs on the ceilings and a pretty dirty carpet. Good location… Multiple things to improve to achieve the 2 stars as good hotel!

I don’t even know where to start, hotel D’win is where it’s at, from the friendly staff, to the surprise deposit (full cost of room) at check in to the stains on the carpet in the rooms, and the odour in the shower, there was brown stains on one of the towels also.
There is nothing negative to say about hotel D’win, it’s the real deal, we were staying on the top floor and there is no elevator which we did admire it was very french, and the room itself was like a suite, it had a spacious hallway, bedroom and a bathroom, the room had three single beds in it and they were firm, the sink was inside the bedroom, we honestly did love this hotel and will return, it was cheap and cheerful, but still we would have paid a lot more for this room! It’s so central in Paris and ugh can’t praise this hotel enough
