Reviews
Small room, dirty, smelly. Towels don't smell clean at all; the bed smells.
The building itself is sinking; it is an unsafe structure and should be demolished.
Second floor:
The maintenance crew is a joke. The towel hook in the bathroom is falling, the toilet seat doesn't stay up, and my favorite: when they removed the ceiling chandelier, instead of putting up a plastic plate, they tape it. See picture. This is a two-star hotel? Really? It's a dumpster.
There is nothing negative to say about hotel D’win, it’s the real deal, we were staying on the top floor and there is no elevator which we did admire it was very french, and the room itself was like a suite, it had a spacious hallway, bedroom and a bathroom, the room had three single beds in it and they were firm, the sink was inside the bedroom, we honestly did love this hotel and will return, it was cheap and cheerful, but still we would have paid a lot more for this room! It’s so central in Paris and ugh can’t praise this hotel enough
It had corners and was not fit for tall people. For me it was exelent.
The reception was very friendly. We could leave our luggage early in de morning. And after enjoying our day in Paris a quick check-in.
Next day we left our luggage again and the lady made reservations for the taxi at noon. We went off to another care free morning in Paris.
Very enjoyable and certainly can be repeated.
If you are looking for a budget friendly room in the middle of Paris then this is a good option. All hotel rooms mid Paris are going to be of questionable layout in some way, there is sadly not a real option if one stays in old buildings.
I would've given them 4 stars but we probably won't stay another time here after this trip. I am unsure what happened this time, but the cleaning service and beds were very questionable.
Most of our pillows and covers had (old) bloodstains on them that were visible from afar.
And the biggest reason why I wouldn't book again. After a 12 hour trip, we returned back only to be greeted by urin on the toilet seat. It wasn't like one drop it was a full on path from one corner to the next. That could only be caused by one of the cleaning personnel. I have no issue if they had to use the toilet but at least leave it behind clean. Like this I had to clean up after someone I didn't know and be thankful I brought disinfect with me.
If I wanted to do this on my vacation I would've booked an Airbnb.
Otherwise the people we talked to were nice.
