Reviews
The reason I gave 4 stars overall is our experience. I did not like the having to wait in a sitting room to get the room. It is not the luxury experience they think it is. We also had an issue with the room when we checked in, the entire 2nd floor was without power. Instead of raising us to a higher floor, they lowered us to the first floor. This meant no balcony and we could not keep the windows open because of smokers in the street.
The room was good with a nice seating area, but the bathroom was weird with too little counter space, and a bench in the shower thst gets in your way. But, the toilet had a bidet feature and there was a drying rack on the wall which made sink washing some clothes easier.
The biggest pet peeve we had was with the automation system, it was overly complex to turn on and off the lights and open the curtains. It was unnecessary.
Did I mention the amazing breakfast? It makes everything else irrelevant and worth staying here.
Overall, if you are in Paris and like the convenience of the Pont Neuf area, this is a very good hotel.
It is extremely close to public transportation, making it very convenient to get around the city when you are tired of walking
One thing to note is that there are a variety of room types that fall within a particular room category. We booked a deluxe double room. The room we received was on the fourth floor. I believe the room was room 403. It had a large king size bed, and a large bathroom with a double sink. It faced the courtyard, so it did not have much of a view but it was quiet and I loved it! (See photos of the courtyard).
We were told we could move to a room with a balcony, which was in the same category, if one opened up. Rooms with balconies are on the second floor and the fifth floor.
A room on the fifth floor with a balcony opened up so we planned to move however, when we saw the room, we decided to stay in our original room. The fifth floor balcony room was lovely but was much smaller. And the bed was a double bed. The bathroom only had a single sink and overall the room felt much smaller. It would be good if you were travelling solo. The balcony was lovely and faced the main street, but it did not have a chair or a table. I would recommend requesting the type of bed and whether you want a balcony or not in advance.
The breakfast that was included in our room was very good. You can have freshly cooked eggs anyway you wanted them and/or you can choose things from the buffet (Pastries, fruit, fresh juices, coffee, and tea, cappuccinos, etc.)
The breakfast is top notch and the staff is incredible polite and helpful
As an Amex Platinum cardholder, I appreciated the added perks, especially the €100 credit toward the hotel or spa. I used it for a facial at their spa, which was peaceful, clean, and completely empty when I visited — a hidden gem in the middle of Paris. The staff at the spa were kind, professional, and very gentle.
The rooms are a great size, especially for Paris standards, and always impeccably clean. The housekeeping team is meticulous — they even took time to neatly reorganize my makeup items, which I really appreciated. The front desk staff was also helpful during both visits; when I needed a U.S. converter, they quickly arranged one for me without hassle.
Breakfast is decent — nothing extraordinary, but it’s convenient and satisfying. What really stands out, though, is the service and atmosphere. The entire staff was friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome each time.
It’s not cheap, but it’s Paris — and for the comfort, service, and location, I’d say it’s absolutely worth it. Looking forward to staying again!
We especially loved the pool. Even though it was underground the sunlight streaming through the glass roof gave it an open, outdoor feel. Breakfast was just right—not overwhelming, but a perfect, fresh start to the day in bustling Paris.
The location is enviable—absolutely perfect. The staff is incredibly friendly and top-notch. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. Be sure to use the concierge—they make excellent recommendations and handle reservations seamlessly.
Thank you, Maison Albar—we’ll be back every time we’re in Paris!”
The following basic issues occurred every day during my stay:
Day 2: No bathmat provided
Day 3: No bathrobe provided
Day 4: No bathrobe again, no tissues provided, and the tablet power was out of order, rendering it unusable
All of these are unacceptable levels of service considering the room rate. I also questioned the attitude that they only corrected the issues after we requested them.
Even more disappointing was the extremely surly and unpleasant behavior of one staff member. I'll state this as a fact: while this staff member was friendly and smiling with other Western guests, he clearly had a different attitude toward us Asian guests.
I don't intend to categorically conclude that this was racism. However, the difference in treatment was so significant that it's not surprising that everyone there felt that way. I don't think this can be dismissed as simply a matter of personal customer service attitude. If a hotel calls itself a "luxury hotel," it should treat all guests with fairness and respect.
On the other hand, the other staff (especially the European ones) were extremely polite and always greeted me with a smile, giving me a sense of security. I commend them for that.
In conclusion, while the hotel's physical facilities are good, the quality of its personal service varies greatly.
I strongly hope that in the future, staff training will be strengthened and a change in mindset will be made to treat all guests equally.
The location and facilities of the hotel itself are certainly attractive, and it is a convenient base for sightseeing. However, if you ask me whether the service and treatment I received were commensurate with the price, I can honestly say that it was "disappointing."
During my stay, the following basic defects continued every day:
Day 2: Bath mat not provided
Day 3: Bathrobe not provided
Day 4: No bathrobe again, no tissues replenished, tablet power failure made it unusable
All of these are unacceptable levels of behavior considering the price of the accommodation. I also questioned the attitude that they only corrected it after we requested it every time.

I do not intend to conclude that it was racism. However, the difference in treatment was so noticeable that it would not be surprising if everyone there felt that way. I do not think this can be dismissed as simply a "problem of individual customer service attitude."

A TOTO washlet was installed, and the toilet seat was warm and comfortable. The location is convenient, close to the bus stop and subway, and there are many restaurants. The Louvre is also within walking distance. Everyone at the hotel was kind and the service was excellent.
