Metropol Hotel

We stayed here during the Paralympics and it was perfect for what we needed. We didn't check in until after midnight but the staff were friendly, even in unsociable hours. We stayed for 2 nights but didn't get in until after midnight both nights. The room was basic but was all we needed, there was a fan in the room which we used but had lovely big windows facing onto the street. We rolled up the blanket in the cupboard and used it as an extra pillow as there was only one on each bed. If you need a cheap and conveniently located hotel but don't need all the frills, this is the place for you.
The hotel was clearly luxurious in it's day with lovely carpets and stairway but it is showing its age now. Would stay again

I stayed for one night at the hotel and enjoyed my stay. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and it was very close to the Gare du Nord, restaurants, and shops. I would stay at the hotel again and also recommend it to friends.
My only grievance is that they have not yet canceled the reservation fee. They told me they would and they have not done it yet, I have called their number and have not been able to get through yet.
Besides that the place was good.

we got our room on the top floor, facing the busy street. we did not expect much based on the previous review, but this is a pleasant stay (£130 for 2 nights for double room). the hôtel is opposite a bus stop which goes to the metro so this is really convenient. u are required to give in the key card before go out, i’d prefer this as i am a clumsy person :) recommend!

Basic rooms, clean enough, windows reduce the street noise well. No bugs, rats. TV and two plugs in the room. Hot shower. Good price.

The location of the hotel is great. Rooms are bit small and it is on main road so can be a little noisy. No issue of bed bugs which was main concern for us. Also the staff is very helpful as well. So overall good experience.
