Shila Mini-hotel

This hotel is one of the coolest, loveliest, most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. The decor is gorgeous and the suites are outfitted perfectly. You feel like you are in a Vogue photo shoot but without any attitude because the staff is amazing. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Also the location is great and their breakfast on their roof - wonderful. I cannot recommend this hotel more.

Fantastic hotel that transports you to an inviting bygone era. A small museum of warmth and luxury where we felt very much at home and were treated with friendliness and professionalism. I am very happy with the choice we made and upset it was such a short stay but will definitely aim to stay at Shila again and again

This is a lovely and authentic hotel in a great area. The service is excellent! The vibe is chill and chic. We are a family of four and stayed in an attic suite and it was very comfortable! Highly recommend

A unique, small and well located hotel. The team just couldn’t do enough for us. From check in, to the accommodation itself, to other services and breakfasts…all excellent. Would strongly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet, but well located spot with only a handful of rooms and very personal service.

Shila was a wonderful experience. From the moment you enter the foyer you are transported to 1920s Athens. Carefully curated design is everywhere. It is unique, stylish, fresh and comfortable. We stayed in the lovely Artist Atelier room.

Firstly, Athens is one of if not the best cities in the world to spend some time in - combining, as it does, the historical sites with a cutting-edge social and artistic scene. It has everything. Then the question is - where to stay? Shila is a really excellent option if, like me, you value stylish decor and sophisticated furnishings. Plus top-quality service from the people who work here and a very convenient location in Kolonaki, where you're close to the action in the centre but far enough away to enjoy the slightly more refined atmosphere of this (by Athens standards) 'posh' neighbourhood. As for some of the practicalities: the rooms were spotlessly clean (which is especially important given the otherwise 'shabby chic' decor); the breakfasts, served either in your suite or the rooftop, are excellent; the rooms have Bose wireless speakers, that you can link to from your devices and/or use the iPad provided (which have Spotify and Netflix accounts); not really a practicality, but worth mentioning anyway, is that they offer a bottle of local fizz to guests, which is a lovely touch. So a very strong recommendation from me. And they have a sister-hotel, Mona, in the centre, which looked really nice (I went for a drink on the rooftop bar and a quick tour and it had the same sort of aesthetic as Shila).

Superb and quirky design, warm welcoming staff. Very hospitable and accommodating even with our baby. Highly recommend.

It's so cool, very chic - an absolute hidden gem. The staff are lovely, professional & helpful. Breakfasts are amazing. The bigger rooms are like apartment's - and beautifully furnished. Tucked away on a very quiet street in Kolonaki with shops, restaurants & bars nearby and a 10 minute walk down into town. Even the roof top space is cool! What a find this was. Utterly enchanting.

This is the prettiest, most charming, and romantic little hotel in the world! Located in a quiet, narrow, cobblestone street in the middle of one of Athen's most vibrant neighborhoods, it offers a quiet, aesthetic marvel of a retreat with gracious service and stunning beautiful, interestingly curated, and designed-minded suites. I only wish I'd had a longer stay. Highest recommendations! Especially to couples... maybe grouchy of me to note, but screaming kids would really ruin the vibe here. It's very sophisticated, though absolutely not stuffy or pretentious. It's the opposite. It's just perfect.
