Shila Athens

We had the most incredible few nights at Shila. Great location and beautiful, clean, spacious rooms. But the thing that really made our stay so special was the staff - genuinely nothing was too much trouble. Dora is a real asset always willing to help and go above and beyond to make our time in Greece as easy and effortless as possible. She and Era were both so kind, helpful and just brilliant at their jobs (as was the girl who helped prepare our lovely breakfast each morning but whose name we didn’t know). Wonderful time, wonderful people and wonderful city!

Beautiful small boutique hotel with lovely staff. They couldn’t have been any nicer. The breakfast was delicious and the room was tastefully decorated. The only minor issue was that the toilet flush was very loud.

Absolutely incredible hotel and service, our new favorite from our travels! Era, Dora and Adelia were so helpful as we made our plans each day, with every detail taken care of. From Shila it was easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go in Athens. Also the design of the rooms is truly stunning and a very luxurious experience. We will be back!

We had the most wonderful stay at Shila Athens to start our honeymoon and can’t recommend it highly enough! What a beautifully decorated, romantic, cozy, and unique room down to every thoughtful detail. The staff were all so nice and helpful throughout our stay, and provided great local dining recommendations. The rooftop terrace and breakfast in our private garden were among the highlights. The breakfast featured the most wonderful array of local baked goods, honey, marmalade, and yogurt- I know we will be dreaming of this breakfast for some time! Thank you Shila!!

I loved our stay at Shila. It is a wonderful boutique hotel with bohemian style. The rooms are all reminiscent of the 20’s and the roof top garden area is a great place to have breakfast or relax at night. Beautifully decorated. And I loved the bath products.

To say that it is an amazing hotel is a great understatement. It feels like arriving to the warmth and comfort of a friend’s home, but more luxurious. As far as boutique hotels go, it is unmatched. The decor and staff invite you into a nostalgic and peaceful ambience perfect for inspiration and relaxation. Don’t stay anywhere else, and stay and long as you can. Shila is a true experience.

Best hotel I've stayed at in a long while — highly recommend! We reserved La Boheme for a couple of nights in September and had an amazing stay. The entire hotel is very clean, comfortable, and so beautiful (decor, rooftop, lobby). The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We were shocked at how lovely the fresh daily breakfast was, not to mention super delicious. Location wise, the hotel is close to the subway, city center, shops, and cafes/restaurants as well without being surrounded by a lot of noise or commotion. The roof top patio is a great place to eat or have a drink in the evenings before heading out somewhere. The WIFI was very reliable too. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Shila was our home, rather than a hotel. Chilling in our studio was as much as part of the Athens summer experience as anything else that we did. Beautiful from every corner and tastefully designed (very instagrammable), with wonderful friendly staff (who are more like hosts). The location is in upscale Mantzarou a close walk to most things in the centre of town. We will be back!
