The location is perfect but the look from the outside is deceiving. This hotel needs a massive overhaul in all aspects. As it is now, it is definitely not a 5 star luxury hotel. Dark, not very clean rooms, broken equipment, and a lack of most amenities expected in a 5 star hotel. The hotel is also not pet-friendly - something that is standard in international 5 star hotels in 2024 (unfortunately, Greece is much behind in this respect). Parts of the staff is indifferent, parking is insufficient and the spa is mostly closed. There are much better options if you are looking for a hotel in Ioannina.

The fact that it's still considered 5 stars is disappointing.
Hotel is neglected, half the rooms had at least 1 major issue like the door not closing, or tap overfilling.
Sadly, the staff is unfriendly too.

The personnel in all posts are professionals and polite.
It is noteworthy that the rooms are everyday cleaned up and arranged.

Good AC!! Great pool with poolside bar serving great selection of hot meals and salads. A bit remote for walking, overlooking the airport and lagoon - but a taxi can take you straight to the door!

Hotel Grand Serai offers exceptional service and comfort. The staff are welcoming, the rooms are elegant and the food is delicious. Excellent facilities and attentive concierge. Highly recommend for an unforgettable stay!

In my personal opinion I wouldn't return even if i was paid to do so. The room door was destroyed propably by a previous tenant and it wouldn't lock. The stuff were more than friendly all except reception! To make a long story short we asked to change rooms they told us they were fully booked and when we decided to leave even though we were charged they told us we could change rooms?! Thank god I can afford my dignity.I wouldn't go there for any reason and it is my personal opinion 5 stars hotels should be held to higher standards, then again their price was much lower than others and that should have been a clear sign for me .

It's a lovely hotel with nice service, grand decorations, and nice rooms. It's in a quiet area overall, but walkable to all in Ioannina. Nice pool, great breakfast buffet, good meeting facilities.

Great experience! We were a group of teachers from Albania, we stayed 4 days.

It was a good hotel. It had a very complete breakfast. The hotel personnel were very polite and behaved respectfully. The hotel rooms were well cleaned. The hotel is located in a convenient location in terms of proximity to sightseeing places such as the lake and the castle of this city.

The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the room was spacious. Everything was a little too old-fashioned for our taste. Lacked warmth and atmosphere. It would have been nice if the fires in the two grand fireplaces in the lounge lobby bad been lit. It was cold and dreary weather outside, so the place could have looked and felt more welcoming. Nevertheless, good value for money.
