Cook's Club Kolymbia-Adults only

A good 3 (I didn't feel it was a 4) star but doesn't serve alcohol at the main pool/pool with slides. The week we were there the was virtually no evening entertainment. Rooms are spacious and clean and pool is entertaining for kids. All staff friendly..food is ok

I believe that amazing staff is what makes this hotel good, but I didn't feel like it's 4 star worthy
Good things:
+ staff is very polite and helpful!!!
+ it's clean
+ beautiful view on the mountain
+ I like goats, so goats on the closest beach are nice
Bad things:
- room furniture is quite used up
- double bed is not double... 2 beds are not even attatched together in any way. I kept falling in between beds on the floor every time I tried to hug by boyfriend because beds kept moving away on the slippery tiles
- you have to pay for drinks for dinner... I understand if it's alcohol, but 2 euro for water/tea in All Inclusive? It seems like a bad joke. And you can drink these for free in the morning...
- food is not described well at all - sometimes not even a mention about what it even is and no allergens/ingredients listed for any dish. People with certain dislikes or allergies will have trouble knowing what they can eat.
- food choices - we saw seafood ONCE for the entire week and it eas hidden in some sauce. Last 4 star hotel I was with offered us shripms, swordfish, oysters, octopus - different seafood daily. Here it was nowhere to be found. Most dishes are the same/very similiar every day with ~2-3 unique items every day. Quite a poor choice. Tea? Not even one green or white or red tea was available. Just black tea (with different flavors) and herbs.
- food quality- fish/meat is often dry. Desserts mostly taste too sweet and not refined at all. I didn't find 1 good dessert that would seem to be directed at adults. Chocolate mousse cake tasted like that cheapest chocolate I was given as a kid for free at school - I expected rich chocolate taste. Making your own halvah is super easy and what was offered was definitely store bought halvah - and not amazing one at that. Did I mention juices? Ehm... yeah right, juices in name only. That certainly wasn't 100% juice, not even close. Just some sugary drink.
- electric contacts are too far away from the bed, so you can't use your phone on the bed while it's charging - minor issue but quite annoying when after a whole day you come to hotel exhausted with 5% battery remaining and want to search up what to do tomorrow or just see some news to relax.
- WIFI is slow af, but it's understandable I guess as many people share it. I ended up not using it and paying for roaming cause it was soooooo slow.

TLDR: Overall, food was super disappointing - both taste and choices. It was all like school cafateria meals, not awful but nothing I'd ever eat on my own choice. Staff and location are what make this hotel shine. I'd honestly rate it better if it wasn't 4 star hotel. I feel like hotel standard in Greece is overall low. Feels like 3 star in Turkey or Spain is way better than 4 star in Greece.
