Byron Hotel

The staff was great, a full breakfast, large rooms, lovely verandas with plenty of tables. It is necessary to walk up a number of steps with luggage but, if this is manageable, this is a great vintage style hotel. Views are nice as well.

We always look for hotels with charm and character and Byron Hotel didn't dissapoint.
A great cosy old hotel with lots of character in the old town of Nafplio with a wonderful view over the whole town and the sea.
Our room was on the 3rd floor and we had 2 windows with amazing view. When we opened the door to the room we just stood there, stunned, with our mouths wide open. We had been to Spetses and Hydra just before arriving Nafplio and stayed at very nice hotels there but Byron was the best out of the three.

We were welcomed by the very nice owner who also recommended us a local Tavern which had great Greek food.
When we had breakfast in the old dining room/bar, we felt like going back to old times in Greece and we really enjoyed it.

Byron Hotel is definitely highly recommended, a 10 out of 10!

In the high season they serve a simple breakfast that you can enjoy either inside in their bar/dining room or if you prefer, outside, on their beautiful terrace.😊 When breakfast isn't served at the hotel you'll find an electric kettle in your room with teabags, instant coffee + sugar&milk ... so you can at least make a warm beverage at your leisure. 😊👍

In any case, for breakfast & great coffee you'll find lots of places to enjoy just a short walk from the hotel. 😊😉😊

Another thing I also appreciate is the high standard of cleanliness in all areas of the hotel ... & ... the rooms & bathrooms are always truly spic span clean & all areas adhering to Covid 19 rules!

Wonderful place to stay in the centre of the old town. Comfortable bed and hot shower water. Quiet too.

Quiet and convenient location in this wonderful town. Spotlessly clean room and helpful staff/owners. Smallish rooms and bathrooms, but for a two star hotel one cannot expect anything better.

Good hotel in general. Very clean and very friendly staff. Breakfast could be improved by having a bit of variety. But food was of good quality tough.

We loved this place. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, lending us books on local historical sites and taking great delight in helping us with our faltering Greek phrases. It is simple, nothing flashy, but it had all we needed for exploring the old town and a wide range of historical sights for the week. Once you find it (the hard part if you are tired having driven up from Kalamata and you don't know the town), it is an excellent location for a base of operations and about a minute's walk from the first worthwhile tavern. The simple terrace gets the afternoon sun and plays host on occasion to a variety of cats, who play on the adjacent dilapidated Ottoman bathhouse roof. On occasion, tourists who get lost in the maze of little passages appear for a moment looking confused before they wander off again. Spanking value for money.
