What a great hotel in a great location! From the minute we checked in until we left the staff was welcoming, friendly and attentive. The rooms we rented (2 doubles) were very clean and a good size. The breakfast buffet was delicious! Kudos to their chef! Parking was somewhat easy to find. The water pressure in the shower is super! We would definitely stay there again!

Fantastic Hotel! Believable shower and comfy beds. Breakfast and dinner were to die for. Everything close at hand. Friendly hardworking staff.

A Hidden Gem in Nafplio – More Than Just a Hotel!

Staying at Hotel Liberty Nafplio has been an unforgettable experience—far beyond what I expected when I booked it as a base for sightseeing. What a surprise it turned out to be!

The hotel itself is charming and comfortable, with great rooms and a perfect location in the heart of Nafplio, Greece’s first capital city. But the real magic happens on the 4th floor roof garden. When I went up there for dinner, I was absolutely blown away. You’re greeted by a stunning panoramic view of the city, with the majestic Venetian fortress of Palamidi right across from you, perched on a 216-meter-high hill. The setting is out of this world – warm evening air, a refreshing breeze, and the glow of history all around you.

The atmosphere is made even more special by DJ Vasili, a personable and intuitive artist who has a gift for reading the room and setting the perfect vibe. His music flows effortlessly between chill, soulful sounds and seductive classics like Barry White. Whether you're in the mood to dance or just relax under the stars, his music elevates the entire experience.

And then there’s Yiorgos, the bartender. Friendly, engaging, and clearly passionate about his craft, Yiorgos introduced me to a world of cocktails I had never explored before. I usually go for wine or beer, but his creativity and knowledge opened my eyes (and taste buds!) to exciting new flavors and combinations. He didn’t just serve drinks – he crafted cocktails that matched my personality. It was like mixology meets art, with a stunning historical backdrop.

This hotel has soul. It’s where history, hospitality, music, and modern comfort meet. I can’t recommend Hotel Liberty Nafplio enough – whether you’re looking for a cozy place to stay, an amazing dining experience, or simply want to sip a cocktail under the stars while listening to great music and gazing at a Venetian fortress.

Don't miss the roof garden. Ask for Yiorgos to mix you something special, and let DJ Vasili set the mood. You’ll be transported.

The Liberty Hotel went above & beyond to accommodate all of our needs. We spent 3 nights at the Liberty and it was magic! The rooftop bar & restaurant has amazing views of the city. The breakfast is delicious. Dimitris could not have been anymore accommodating! I would stay here again!

Hotel overall is great. Rooms clean and modern, hotel managers and staff are very helpful. One downside is, because the neighboring buildings are so close, there is a lot of loud talking early in the morning, mostly generated from the next building

We had a wonderful stay at Liberty Nafplio! The rooftop garden is simply magical, with stunning views of the fortress and the city — perfect for a romantic dinner or a morning coffee. The whole hotel feels fresh, stylish, and cozy, and the service is top-notch. A place we will remember and return to again!

We stayed at this hotel from July 6 to 8, 2025. While advertised as a 4-star property, it felt much more like a 3-star experience.

On the positive side, the staff were very friendly — especially the lady at reception who spoke several languages fluently and was extremely helpful. The location was also convenient and worked well for our plans.

However, the overall experience lacked the comfort and quality you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. The rooms were small and far from luxurious, though they were sufficient. Breakfast was extremely basic, with very limited options, and the rooftop bar was similarly underwhelming. There was also no parking available, which made things a bit less convenient.

A decent stay, but expectations should be adjusted accordingly.

This was a great hotel and had everything we needed. In addition there is a laundry very close, and the bus station at the west end of the park.

We were on a roof garden on New Year and enjoyed it a lot. Great menu offers and romantic music . Seeing the Palamidi view what can be better. Enjoyable , unforgettable! The most romantic place in Nafplio definitely.

Very good hotel near old town. Clean room, big bathroom. Very helpful personel. Free parking. View from terrace at the top is very nice.
