The hotel is in a good location, the rooms are nice and the view is great.

This was the seventh (and last) of our hotels in our 14 day tour around the Mani. We had 3 nights booked as a final relaxation in a much loved town. Considering that this hotel might regard itself as the premier hotel in Naflion it was a bit of a disappointment. Only half was open (early season) and this was showing signs of wear in places. Despite its faults this hotel is amazing. The architecture and the location are stunning. If you need to be Wi-Fi it isn’t for you but the 5G signal is excellent and served us well. And don’t expect 5 star facilities and service - this hotel is about the views and the peace up from the busy old town. The lift to the town is spooky but we got used to it. It is worth visiting.

We decided to splurge on this hotel without really knowing what to expect. Apparently there are hotel rooms here that are no longer open—just the villas are open. While the service and public areas are outstanding, the rooms are not. Shabby curtains, woodwork that badly needs sanding/restaining, a pocket door to the bathroom that requires the strength of Hercules to move; these are regular maintenance items that should be done but aren’t. We booked 2 rooms for the 3 of us, my mother and my son and I. 5 stars for hotel location and view. 1 star for the rest. Not the employees fault. They are severely understaffed, there is nowhere to truly sit, rest drink anything. Pool shared with hotel which is above, u need to walk uphill. Pity, it could have been a super gem. It’s was once a very modern and new age hotel. But it has been badly maintained, as you can see from the photos.

Photos do not reflect reality. There was no sunroof deck, just a bare space with no furniture, floorboards coming up. Room was tiny, no shelves or hooks in bathroom, had to move three sets of sliding doors to open the small drawers. Lobby and rooms were dreary. We were on a roof garden on New Year and enjoyed it a lot. Great menu offers and romantic music . Seeing the Palamidi view what can be better. Enjoyable , unforgettable! Nafplio is a place to visit as it is beautiful! The hotel is located in the centre of the city, next to the market and very close to the sea (10 minute-walk), the room was fantastic and the breakfast with a super view on the Fortress of Palamidi:)

Fantastic and clean hotel. Great room size and the bathroom was modern and well appointed. Short walk into Nafplio town. Comfortable beds, stylish design. Parking was available in the surrounding area. Staff are very friendly and the buffet breakfast was excellent.

The hotel was tidy and clean, with exellent location. The buffee breakfast was perfect and always served with sunny staff. Also the View bar was superb! Amazing and very reciprocal staff, plus lovely drinks and the view.

The hotel is located in the old town, at a stone throw to everything. Parking is not allowed at the premises, however you can load/unload luggages in front of the hotel. Our room is at the top, with a jacuzzi in the balcony, which will need to take steps for the highest foor. With heavy luggage, would be good to request rooms on 1st floor with direct lift access instead.

Rating of the hotel is and will be negatively impacted by the DJ of their own bar. DJ plays till far after midnight for an empty bar and his own sake. DJ is especially good in adding too much bass tones and by doing so disturbing hotel guest. If you are in your room sleeping or not, the bass tones are annoying and stressful. And it makes absolutely no sense to play so loud for an empty bar, no bar...

Nafplio is a great beachfront hotel. It is just a few steps away from the beach, and the public parking lot at the beach is free. Had the good fortune to book this place over New Years. WOW. The location surely can't be beaten. You are right in the middle of cuteness. Excellent hotel, in the old town but slightly higher so very calm. The junior suite with sea view is great : big, high ceilings and multiple amazing views of the town and the sea. Will stay here again next time I am in Nafplio.

We booked a Superior Double Room w/sea view for 5 nights. The room was very nice, updated bathroom and a beautiful view. Note that shampoo and body was not provided. Our GPS took us up Fotomara, which is one way with no outlet and was under construction. We had to back down a very narrow road, which was harrowing to say the least. Location is down a little street inaccessible by car which adds to its beauty and authenticity. Room was beautiful. Perhaps aptly the most sapphic we’ve ever been in. Beautiful and large hotel. Easily accessible to and from Nafplion. The rooms are big and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Very clean. The only downside is that the rooms need renovations. I booked a room with 3 single beds. It has a balcony and you can see the garden. The room is clean and comes with a bottle of red wine. The breakfast is rich with a lot of bread and fruit to choose from.

We spent lovely days at Grande Bretagne and enjoyed our stay very much. Lovely peaceful hotel in the heart of the charming old town of Nafplio. We stayed a night with our little one (3.5 years) and had a fab time. The room was well taken care of, the location is on a quiet pedestrian just a stone's throw away from the town high street and the staff has really made us feel welcomed and at home. We will certainly revisit!

One of the most relaxing and comfortable holidays. We needed a retreat after our wedding and the place was so relaxing. Just 6-8 kilometres from the centre of Nafplio and all the stores for dinner , shopping and coctails. Absolutely perfect! My kids asked "Why did it take so long to get to Castellano and why only 1 night?" The beds and sheets were comfortable, the bathroom amenities just lovely, excellent breakfast served in our room, and the view, overlooking Syntagma Square - perfect!

Sadly only spent one night in this lovely hotel but it was really special. The rooms were lovely, loved the round beds that were very comfy. Being right on the square it was so quiet and loved hearing the bells from the local church. The breakfast provided was yummy and the staff went above and beyond, the hotel staff Christine was especially wonderful. Highly recommend and hope to return in the future

Luxurious, high ceiling, great value, great view from room 201. Great location, just leave your car at the public parking lot at the port and you are at walking distance from the hotel to every place. Only room for improvement is the need for a bigger fridge.
