The room is a little bit small but it’s really well located and you will find a lot of lovely restaurants and shops next to you!! The cleaning service is not great as they just do the bed and they don’t even hover the room! The breakfast is good but there is not a lot of variety as a lot of the hot food is pork based!! But I recommend this hotel if you are visiting zante for the first time!! The location...

Overall the hotel is very good!!! They provide brilliant buffet breakfasts In addition, their reception can speak English fluently, and they are very helpful as well

Convenient location, great service. I like that they provided slippers and bathrobes. Their breakfast buffet provided many food choices

The room was average and the facilities were quite old, but the location offset many of the shortcomings. There are also many restaurants around the hotel, and it is very relaxing to go out for a walk

If it comes to cons, it located in the city center and has the view on sea (on harbor, to be exact) and has a 'roof garden' with a bar and swimming pool. The staff was nice and helpful, especially at the reception

It is a pretty good hotel that can be booked in the off-season. The room is not too big, there is free parking, it faces the sea, it is not far from the port and the airport, and the breakfast is also rich.

Excellent place! If you are in Zante for a quiet and peaceful vacation - Varres is a great place for that. Rooms are cosy, the pool is ultra clean and the staff is just perfect

My family and I highly recommend the amazing Hotel Varres! All of the staff were extremely friendly and polite - they helped us with a couple of restaurant recommendations (which were excellent) and spots to visit along the coastline and in the city centre

All areas in the hotel were very clean - the rooms got cleaned daily and the pool area was very nice! Our room was super spacious and cool with an awesome view of the trees surrounding the hotel, which made it very romantic

30 minutes to the port by foot, or 7-8 mins with a car. Shuttles were available for anywhere on the island. Hotel restaurant is just what you need for a cosy evening - food was great! Can’t wait for the next visit!

We spent a week in this hotel. It is a superb hotel with an amazing hospitability. We felt very much at home. Breakfast was included and of an amazing quality. Also wonderfully close to Zakynthos.

Lovely hotel we stayed for 10 nights,maid service everyday we were all inclusive and food was lovely never that busy in restaurant, breakfast was great and had a choice of everything, staff lovely and friendly, great location close to all amenities and beach but just tucked up little Rd so nice and quiet at night

Staff are amazing at this hotel, nothing is too much trouble. Greek hospitality at its finest. No sunbed wars and a chilled pool area. Great for families. We are having a great time and will return 😊

We had a lovely family room for 2 adults and 2 teenagers with a balcony overlooking the pool. The air conditioning was really welcome, the bathroom was newly refurbished, and the fridge was very useful

The kitchen staff, waiters and waitresses were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Nicole at the pool bar was lovely. She always had a smile no matter how many hours she’d been working

On arrival we were offered a “Welcome Drink” before being taken to our room where we found a bottle of wine and a plate of fruit, way above and beyond what you normally get in a package holiday hotel

A highly recommended hotel, about 10 minutes from Zakynthos Airport, very close to the central square, many restaurants downstairs, convenience stores, cafes, the most important thing is that the view from the sea is very good, and I saw the sunrise in the morning

Although the bathroom facilities are a little old, but overall it is pretty good. The boss is a simple and honest uncle, the service is very good, and he also gave us disposable slippers and a bunch of toiletries

The hotel is very close the centre of Zante town and it's at a very convenient location. The receptionist is a super friendly and helpful person that made us feel very welcome

The amenities in the room could be better, for example there could be a string or something at the balcony where we would be able to hang our wet swimsuits and towels, and the hotel could provide small shampoos and shower gels

Yes there are upfront charges but they happen in most places and it does say that on the website so clearly not hidden. The room was lovely overlooked the garden with a balcony. Towels and sheets changed regularly

Pool lovely and good size and always sunbeds. It did get lively with teenagers enjoying themselves in the late afternoon but then it's a holiday. The food was nice we always enjoyed the meals

Please note you have to pay separately for air con and WiFi however WiFi doesn't work inside the room , you have to sit in the balcony and every time you have to connect, its not auto connect

Their check out time is 11am in the morning so if your flight is later in the evening please let them know in advance, also you have to pay extra €50 to stay there till your flight time

They have insects outside the rooms but thankfully rooms were clean and luckily insect didn't come in so best to take an insect killer with you

Had a great stay here, was only one night but would definitely stay again. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the location is excellent

In the morning when woke up there was a service going on in the church a street over and I could hear the congregation singing! So beautiful! The breakfast was a buffet, I’m vegan and there was plenty of choice for me ranging from fresh fruit and cereal

Being a smaller boutique hotel I thought it would just be a few continental options, but the friendly staff offer you a choice of options cooked fresh, which was a nice touch

Note: I would recommend only taking carry on luggage if you stay here because of the economical amount of space available to put belongings. Our booking came with a breakfast

Recommended for couples and families with older children. We didn't stay, but our experience and the image he left us are very positive

While we had booked and left, we could not stay because we were with children and the parking lot and the room were not comfortable

The owners understood our problem and did not charge us even though we had made a reservation without cancellation
