Agripas Boutique Hotel

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the last few years and I have always liked it until this most recent visit just a couple of nights ago. I didn’t get the room that I had specifically reserved several months ago but I had one similar, so I was OK with that. The man at the desk when we checked in was completely unwilling to advise us on where to park the car. He said his parking was full and he knew of no other lots or garages nearby. After driving around, we found an acceptable garage across the street, so thanks for not telling us about that. Later I asked the receptionist where to get some ice and she said that there wasn’t any. How surprised was I the next morning when I saw the ice machine in the restaurant upstairs. The worst part, and the reason for my low stars review was the huge and loud construction project across the street from our window, with a slamming piledriver that started at 6:30 in the morning. How great it would have been had I’ve been informed of that when I booked my reservation by telephone months before. The last night of my honeymoon was pretty much ruined because of that. I expressed my issues to the receptionist on check out, but she was not particularly interested. Those are problems for the manager she said.I didn’t see “the manager“ nor did she summon him to deal with an unhappy guest.
The parking and the ice I just wrote off to typical poor Israeli service, but not telling me about that piledriver seemed positively deceitful.
Marwan, manager of the dining room, did a great job on his own, but in general, the hotel did a really poor job. Probably my last stay here, sorry because the location is so perfect.
