Hotel David was by far our favorite accommodation we booked within our month travel throughout Portugal Italy! Everything about this hotel was exceptional. The staff were extremely attentive, considerate, helpful, and friendly. Attention to detail was everywhere. Our room had a view of the Brunelleschi Dome. A complementary large bottle of sparkling wine and two bottles of water were waiting for us in our room. The linens are of high-quality. Decor throughout the hotel is filled with homestyle comfort, with couches and chairs to relax inside and tables and chairs outside in the garden area to do the same. Books and magazines are everywhere to enjoy. This hotel offers complementary drinks in a refrigerator to help yourself to each day, as well as a happy hour from 6:30 to 8:00 filled with delicious appetizers, wines, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks. And all that at no extra cost! The included breakfast is also excellent. The location is perfect as it is close enough to walk to the center of Florence where all the historic sites are, but not in the thick of the massive crowds. We can't say enough about how well this hotel is run and make all those who come to it feel like welcomed family and friends. Exceptional!!

The hotel is a little far from the old town, but the transportation is very convenient. The service was very good. The front desk was very detailed in introducing us to all the details we wanted to know about the city and the hotel. It is worth recommending.

It's a bit like a family hotel. The room is not big and the toilet is very small, but there is a balcony where you can sit outside. Service was ok. The hotel is very close to the square where you can watch the sunset, so you can walk back after watching.

It's my 3rd time in Firenze, and the 1st one at Hotel David. I can wholeheartedly say that this is my favourite hotel, the warmest and coziest one, and I can't wait to visit it again if I have the opportunity. It felt like home ❤️ From the very kind staff, to the comfort of a 24/7 open kitchen that offered a snack and a drink (most of them for free), the great location and the warm decoration - everything made us feel more than welcome. I've traveled all across Italy, and Firenze is my favourite city. Hotel David and its general generosity and friendliness is now one of the many reasons I'll be thinking of Firenze with much love. Lots of love from Greece ❤️

Wow! Hotel David is among the treasures to be found in Florence. I had been disappointed when we couldn’t book our first choice hotel, but now I’m convinced it was some kind of divine intervention. Seriously, if you have the opportunity to stay at Hotel David - make the reservation! Terrific and attentive staff, gorgeous and unique rooms, generous happy hour and delicious breakfast. We had a blast!

I can't praise The Hotel David enough. From the moment you arrive, the entire staff makes you feel genuinely welcome with their warmth and kindness. It's not often that a hotel makes you want to spend time there, but their Happy Hour is truly something special—one you definitely won't want to miss. In addition to the excellent wine, the variety of snacks is both generous and pleasantly surprising. The atmosphere in their outdoor spaces is nothing short of magical, offering a perfect setting to unwind. Breakfast is another highlight, served in yet another charming outdoor area.
The hotel combines fun, whimsical details with a touch of elegance, creating a unique and delightful experience. I found the subtle humor woven throughout the hotel to be charming, making our stay all the more enjoyable. I feel incredibly fortunate to have discovered this hidden gem. The best hotel to stay in when you visit Florence. The staff are very kind and polite. The rooms are super clean. There is a happy hour every afternoon and there is free alcohol and snacks. The garden is very cute and the breakfast delicious. It’s also located very close to the bus that goes to the touristic areas. We had a wonderful experience there.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel David for part of our honeymoon back in March. I am late getting to the review but we are still talking and thinking about how perfect this hotel was! Great location with a short walk to the center of Florence. The staff was amazing and treated us so kindly. They have an awesome kitchen and coffee that offer some free beverages on the honor system which was really cool. The breakfast was also very good. We will definitely be back if we visit the area again, thank you!

I almost don't want to leave a review because I want to keep this gem in the middle of Florence a secret! From check-in to check-out, we received nothing but excellent service and care. The staff at the reception were super friendly. Our room, number 32, had a balcony and a large, perfect bathroom. There were even two bowls waiting for Kiko, and we were allowed to bring him to the breakfast area.
The ladies operating the breakfast were courteous, very polite, and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty, featuring the most delicious pistachio croissants, delightful cappuccinos, and a selection of ham and cheeses. Overall, I would rate this place a 10/5 and will definitely be back!

We had a great couple of days here. We happened to get a large room with a balcony. The hotel is quiet, the free breakfast was great and happy hour was a nice way to wind down before dinner. The staff were always attentive and even made reservations at a local restaurant for us. The bus stops right out front and will take you to the city center or about 15-20 min walk. I will definitely stay here again if visiting Florence.
