Reviews
The room was great, the views from the room and property were amazing, and the amenities were nice. One big bummer about our stay was that my partner got eaten alive by mosquitos. Similar to many places in Europe, there was no air conditioning in the room. We tried to open the big window in our room to allow some movement of air but woke up the next morning with many mosquito bites. Because of this, we didn't open up the window for the rest of our stay and found ourselves waking up in the middle of the night hot and sweaty, and with a few more mosquito bites. We think that they were somehow getting through little cracks in the wood or something? An antihistamine and bug spray later, we were able to successfully not get bit by mosquitos for the last two nights of our stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and our time in Florence.
Staff was always incredibly kind and fast.
I can only recommend it! Till next time!
The facilities are old but not particularly problematic. There were no problems with the amount of water or temperature in the shower. I was prepared for some problems when staying in such a historic building. I was bothered by the noise from the common areas, but I think this is a matter of guest manners. I doubt the facility can take care of guests who talk while coming in and out of their rooms at around 2am.
The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I really enjoyed Florence.
Reminder that B&B hotels are not chain hotels, but homestay hotels.
The room is on the top floor with limited floor height. The toilet sink and toilet are connected, and there is a continuous backflow sound after using water. The shower head needs to be repaired. It is noisy downstairs and it didn't stop until after 11 o'clock. Bugs were found on the bed. Breakfast is unpacked bread.
If there are other hotel options, I don't recommend this place.
We understand it’s an old building and they were full of guests but some changes are needed and we wouldn’t stay here ever again. There’s plenty of other hotels for a more affordable price.
Overall, it is clean and comfortable. The biggest highlight is the balcony on the roof, where you can directly see the view of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and the city, as well as the mountains in the distance.
The bed is too small, with a width of 0.9 meters, which is a bit uncomfortable for people with large physiques or who often turn over at night.
