Together with my family we decided to spend a weekend in Montecatini to visit Valdinevole and the Vinci Museum. On arrival we were warmly greeted by the receptionist and the director; luggage is on a trolley and an attendant takes it to the room. The attic room is large and spotless. Bathrooms are medium in size and very clean. We decided to stop for dinner at the Grand Hotel; we choose the meat menu and the tagliata we were served was tender and tasty. Great desserts. Finally the whiskey level had a pleasant chat with the director. The next morning at breakfast we find a rich buffet of sweet and savory items. The staff is polite and discreet and very patient with children. Convenient parking is also available: €10 per day. We will definitely be back.

The rooms are as cold as outside. After all, it's 2024. The air conditioners have four settings: heat, cool, air dry, and fan. But this hotel has central air conditioning. Half the year it's set to heat, and the other half to cool, just like 50 years ago. So it's not possible to comfortably decide how you want it. The temperature will be what you don't want, but what the hotel has decided for you. Let the children freeze. And who needs children, that's their problem!

Got in late yesterday 27/5/24 for the one night with a group
At first look the hotel looks lovely but reeception wasnt very helpful at all when asked for an iron nothing or when I woke up at 5:30 am and in bad need of a cup of tea so I rang reception to ask and was told nothing open yet until 7am
I would not need to ask if there was a kettle and complimentary tea and coffee in the room.
Very poor for a supposedly 4/5 star hotel

Our favorite hotel! as always, the most sincere and pleasant place in Montecatin, not paying attention to all sorts of little things (lack of curtains in the toilet or telephone in the room...).

Checked in on 15 May 2024 for 3 nights under group tour. Stayed in a room at level 4 for 3 pax. Room was spacious with 2 level (upper level with additional bed). Breakfast everyday the same. Nothing much nearby to walk around in the evening. No gym, but there is a swimming pool.

This hotel has a simple elegance. The interior design of carpets, the lobby and bar, and the rooms makes it feel special and sets it apart from simple three star accommodations. The beds are comfortable and the triple rooms have little stairs leading up to a loft type space that makes the rooms fun and unique.

Beautiful hotel brilliant staff who couldn't do enough for you. Great quiet location but in easy walking distance to the town centre. Meals were fabulous and my gluten free diet well catered for. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

Bringing this grand hotel back to its original form was a monumental task and we were totally overwhelmed with the results. After years of refurbishing, the doors opened to guests early September and we were fortunate to be among the first to enjoy the hotel. Being former guests we were so pleased to see the décor remained the same but everything is “spanking” new --- the rooms are spacious and bright, the bathrooms pristine. The reception and bar area still have the old world charm but beautifully modernized. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we experienced during our trip through Italy. Plentiful and delicious. The staff, from the reception, to the dining, to the housekeeping are exceptional. And last but not least, Gianfranco, who treated us more like family than guests and who I consider the heart of the Vittoria I send my greatest accolades. Everything was PERFECT.
