Reviews
The last renovations might have happened decades ago. Carpets are dirty and spotted, walls scratched from the housemaid's cart.
The wallpaper in the room was curled up, walls were moldy beneath. The tile grouts and silicone fillers in the bathroom moldy too. There is no heating till november, the extra blankets they gave for the room were musty, too disgusting to use and the front office refused to change them, so we rather choose to wear an extra layer for sleeping which was not too comfy.
The breakfast was very disappointing. One type of cheese, two types of cold cuts (one was even rancid one morning), vegetables means half cut tomatoes and some green leaves...
And the coffee machine brews the coffee FROM POWDER!!!
NO FRESH GROUND COFFEE IN ONE OF THE COFFEE CAPITALS AROUND THE WORLD!!!
Absolutely don't understand the 4 stars, would deserve about 2...
One of the worst hotel experiences of my life :(
So run down indeed ! Avoid this hotel at all costs!!!
I reported it to the hotel, but they only replied that “nothing was found” and took no responsibility.
The door was not forced, which clearly indicates the theft was committed by someone with access to the room.
I have already informed Booking.com and will provide all evidence to the authorities.
A very disappointing and unsafe experience for a 4-star hotel.
Loved the room itself. Spacious. Good bathroom.
CONS -
Wifi doesn’t work however and the remote for the
TV doesn’t work either. Also some of the lights don’t turn on.
When asked for a new remote a maintenance worker came twice but did not assist.
The room is spacious, clean and the staff is responsive.
The WiFi is terrible. You can not use it to work from there.
Breakfast is good but repetitive, and the coffee from the machine is using instant powder.
The air conditioning/ventilation is not working during cold months, only heating. So if you prefer a colder room, you have to open the window, but you would have the outside noise waking you up.
These are others, but all these small little things are missing that make the hotel feel average even though it could have potential.
Nice stay altogether.
Breakfast is fresh and ample. Good coffee as well as a nice little bar downstairs and a vinoteca in the foyer.
Some downscoring as some things are beyond normal wear and tear - most annoyingly there's is a lot of noise (potentially elevator doors or HVAC issue that sounds as a heavy chair is being dragged on a wooden floor). This makes earplugs to sleep a must.
Rooms: 6.5/10

The hotel common areas are beautiful, and the rooms are clean. The excellent staff was a highlight, but the overall experience was average. The bathroom only had a tiny bottle of shampoo and no conditioner, and the room felt generally outdated.
Our first room had a plumbing issue where water pooled on the bathroom floor, so we were moved to a different room.
The man working at reception was very kind, efficient and friendly throughout our stay, and the lady working at the front desk ordered a cab for us when we were leaving which arrived within minutes (we ran into frequent trouble like delays and cancellations when calling taxis in Milan).
The breakfast was mediocre / passable. No fresh fruit juice, with average hotel eggs/bacon. The cold cut meats and peaches were nice. I was not a fan of the instant coffee machine.
The hotel is in a local neighborhood with a supermarket and cafes nearby. As a tourist, the location was not the best. The time to go between the hotel and Milano Centrale each day turned out not to be worth the price difference of staying closer to the city.
