I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel. Please allow me to explain the reasons for my complaint.

I booked your hotel two months ago but made an honest mistake with the dates because my flight to Milan was an overnight one. Two months ago, I contacted you and kindly asked to modify the dates. I was fully willing to pay for two nights even though I was only staying for one; I simply needed the booking shifted by one day. However, your administration refused to assist me and declined my request rather abruptly.

I did not escalate the issue or contact Booking.com, as I expected that perhaps the matter could be resolved upon arrival — or at the very least, that I might receive some form of goodwill gesture, such as a bonus or an upgrade, considering that I paid for two nights while staying only one.

Instead, when I checked in yesterday evening, I was given an extremely disappointing room. Room number 4 — assigned to me without any explanation — was a room designed for disabled guests, which I did not request. The layout made it very inconvenient for me to use the toilet, sink, mirrors, and overall bathroom setup. I was told it was merely “single occupancy”, yet the room was far below the standard I expected.

Additionally, despite my request made two months ago for a room with a pleasant view and preferably on a higher floor, none of my preferences were taken into account. In fact, I believe I was given one of the worst rooms in the hotel.

The noise level was unacceptable. I could hear everything — conversations from the reception area, guests walking, and general noise throughout the evening and night. This was especially disappointing because I had specifically requested a quiet room. After a two-day trip, I desperately needed rest, but I was unable to sleep at all. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had — not only in Italy, but anywhere in the world.

Worst hotel I’ve stayed at. Awful location. Far away from everything. The railway runs past making a lot of noise. Complained about the heat in the room 3 times, but it never got fixed. We had to open the window to be able to sleep, but then the room got filled with mosquitos. AVOID.

This hotel is not a 4 star. Room smells like sweat, bathrooms are dirty. I could hear the toilet running all night. Ac was off. It was so hot. Could not wait to leave and take a shower somewhere else. Front desk girls and guys are nice.

The hotel is far from the city, there is a bus stop nearby, we preferred a taxi. When entering the hotel, the reception asked us to fill out a form with credit card information to guarantee our possible hotel expenses. After having breakfast, my little son took a fruit, when we were leaving, the restaurant attendant informed us that it was forbidden to take food outside, and when I asked the reception, they confirmed this. I have stayed in over 200 different hotels in more than 30 countries, including 3-star, 4-star, 5-star and boutique hotels, but I have never seen such an application regarding credit cards or breakfast. Instead of focusing on these, it would be better if they focused on cleaning the spider web on the wall opposite the elevator, for example, the photo of which I have attached. Other than these, we were pleased with the cleanliness of the room and the variety of breakfast.
