Victoria Terme Hotel

A bad experience, a 2-star breakfast. Only one kind of cheap cheese. Only one kind of tea. Not a single vegetable. I will never return to this hotel even though at first impression it seemed interesting.

Shamefully disappointing. We arrived today with still full summer temperatures (almost 30 degrees C) to discover that all the outdoor pools had been emptied while all the structures in Italy have since prolonged their opening calendar to adjust to this long heat wave. Still, to only access the spa, we were asked for 45€ per person. A spa which is not only small, but coming directly from the sixties (very poor maintenance). If you come while the outdoor pools are still open you are going to have a nice experience. If not, you will be ripped off for a stay of a little longer than one hour. Cannot recommend.

Leaving your personal items with value in the room is not a good idea.

Benignities: - nice staff, green and big territory of the park

Reality and minuses:
-swimming pools were closed once we come to the hotel and there was no infos on the website
-price and quality of the hotel itself are not fair
- hotel is not 4 stars , but max 2-3 stars
- spa zone is old and like in hospital

An hour and a half drive from the city center
There's nothing to eat or drink around
The hotel room is small and hygienic.
Poor front desk service

Staff are lovely, and rooms are fine (no kettle). There's no pool despite the website saying there is. So our plans for a hard day sightseeing followed by a swim, didn't work out. There's a facility next door which you pay for. N summer t looks like There's lots of outdoor pools but short opening hours in winter (end Sept) meant nothing was available to us. Really feel this is false advertising. Food in the restaurant was shocking. Overcooked "lamb" with frozen green beans and croquet potoes. The room itself is a huge room with tables packed so tight you can barely squeeze between them. Breakfast buffet was OK, but tinned peaches and pears? You grow them, the fruit shop down the road had fabulous fresh fruit. Hugely overpriced and total rip-off. Not the fault of the lovely staff. Very close to train station with good service to Rome and Tivoli.
