Seven Hotel in Rome

I do not suggest staying at this hotel. While the location is great, and the food at the rooftop restaurant was good, everything else was pretty lousy. The pool and spa are tight, uncomfortable, grimy, and the area smells like mold. They only allow use of the spa and pool up to 1 hour per day and it requires reservations. We tried out the spa with our kids once and never went back during our four day stay. Our "family suite" rooms were so small they were difficult to move around in, and the noise from the streets kept us up into the middle of the night. And the service was terrible - not everyone, but many of the staff were cold, uncaring, and unhelpful.

From the outside this hotel looks great.

The spa / pool downstairs is nice.

But until you have to deal with the staff that’s where the problem lies.the managers attitude towards his guests is appalling.

The nightshift are no better, especially the brunette lady she speaks to the cleaners like she’s an upper class & there working. (Calling them dumb to our face)
Then the receptionist gave us a master key to the whole hotel so we could have literally opened any door.

The cleaners were really friendly & honestly they should be the ones behind the reception desk.

We had a few issues with our door one including being locked out of the hotel for 2 hours on one of our few nights in Rome after 26,000 steps in the cobbled streets we just wanted a shower and freshen up.

Also The sink in our bathroom had drainage issues

The cleaners tried there best to comfort us where the receptionists couldn’t care less.

Toe nails left in our room from previous guests. Yes really, toe nail clippings left on the floor from previous occupants!!!

Waiters serving seagulls though the window then handling our food.

Rooms falling apart and dirty. Cigarettes butts left in plant pots on balcony. Hangers missing from wardrobe. Gaps in the door frame.

Cleaner left the door wide open all day. Discovered when we returned in the evening. Reception just said “that isn’t good”.

Customer service is a joke and think offering a miniature bottle of limoncello will compensate.

On check in there were open cans left in the fridge from previous guests. A con to make us pay for their drinks perhaps? Or just lazy from the cleaners.

If you are thinking about booking this hotel, move on. If you have booked it already and can cancel, do so and find somewhere else. Pictures attached to prove this isn’t a lie.

What I will say is that the location is very convenient if you are here for pleasure. Everything is within a decent walking distance and there are plenty of cheap food options around.

My friends and I stayed here for spontaneous trip and the first thing we noticed upon getting to put floor was the horrendous scent of wet mould and poop which they have done an extremely poor job at masking with the overwhelming scent of lemons.

The rooms are tiny for the price and the walls are thin so we were subjected to listening to our neighbours go at it like rabbits this valentines morning.

The breakfast was fabulous, bar staff was great and very accommodating when we brought our own alcohol.

My biggest disappointment is that the house keeping lady did take a poop in our toilet which was evident but the smell and the stains left.

Just awful. Don’t stay here, it’s been the worse experience I’ve had at a hotel. When complaining, the staff are uninterested in resolving any issues properly. The place is filthy dirty, they are trying to look “high end” and missing by a mile! The spa smells dirty and wet, with no changing facilities. I ended up not using any spa facilities in fear of catching an infection! Take a look at the photo of the chopping board I snapped in their bar! I felt sick seeing the place so disgusting and didn’t feel confident eating here after seeing this. The staff are rude, the atmosphere is not pleasant, and the beds are really hard. The pillows are cheap and flat, the towels in our room were dirty and there is no air conditioning as advertised.
