This place has it all! Beautifully appointed rooms, free wine at check in, a great breakfast spread each morning, a rooftop bar overlooking the canal, and a very professional and pleasant staff. We also had dinner one evening and again, the food and service were top notch. Not a single regret in sight. Also, the concierge is efficient, friendly and helpful. You need a water taxi to the airport? No problem. And a canal is just a (literal) few steps from the door.

My husband and I came to Venice to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We wanted to stay in a luxurious suite with 24-hour room service, and close to St. Mark’s Square so we could enjoy those dueling café orchestras in the lit-up square at night. We noticed many Venice hotel rooms were very small and had no room service (or elevators). We were thrilled when we found Splendid and happily booked the Presidential suite for 8 nights!

Splendid exceeded our expectations. Salvatore Pisani, the General Manager, met us when we arrived and showed us around our beautiful suite. He was very friendly and kind. There was champagne and wine and fruit and treats waiting for us in our room. He even asked if we would like a Spritz, something we had said we wanted to experience when in Venice. Yes, please we said, and before we knew it two Spritz were brought up to our suite. They were very delicious and refreshing and we couldn’t help sipping more of them during our trip.

Our king size bed was very comfy and our suite on the 5th floor was very quiet. I loved the beautiful marble bathrooms, the shower had great water pressure and the towel warmers were a nice touch. I’d never used a bidet before, but now I want one in my bathroom, too.

Most mornings we had breakfast served in our room or on our private terrace. Fluffy scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, delicious croissants and fruit, oh and the best illy coffee ever! Everything was delicious and a great way to start the day!

Throughout our trip there were fruit baskets, wines, chocolate hearts and treats left in our suite when we were out. And on our 40th anniversary, we found a beautiful card along with a delicious cheese and fruit platter and a bottle of wine. Wow! Just Wow! We felt so special.

The Splendid Concierge Team is exceptional. Whether it’s planning a day trip to Slovenia to see the castles and caves (shout out to Antonio our fabulous driver) or getting directions to the bridge or square, they are always eager and happy to help. So professional and kind. You can ask Concierge anything. Nothing is too big or small. Grazie Millie Alessandro, Pietro and the whole Concierge Team.

I’ve never met anyone who didn’t just absolutely love Venice. I didn’t get it. Now I do. On our last day, I felt so sad I nearly cried. I didn’t want to go home. I wanted to stay.

I love the Venice book you gave us as a farewell gift. I keep it in our living room to remind us of the magic and beauty of Venice that will always live in our hearts. I can’t wait to come back one day! Maybe for our 50th!

We really enjoyed our two nights. Everything was great with one exception. The rooftop bartender didn't follow our drink order and copped an attitude. He was the only downer in our two days. We mentioned to other staff and they acknowledged his pompous attitude.

We spent 2 nights here and central to either San Marco or Rialto just a few minutes walking. Fantastic restaurants within walking distance, lots of options for shopping, snacks or drinks before dinner. A rooftop terrace for great sunsets with cocktails and snacks.
We didn’t eat in the restaurant so can’t provide a review, but looked like a great menu.

Excellent hotel with direct water taxi access. This allows the boat to go direct to the hotel lobby.

Rooms are traditional and large. Marble bathrooms, great water pressure.

Booked 2 rooms - twin share and King bed. Be aware the king bed is 2 twin beds put together so there is a gap in the middle.

The location was amazing just a 5 minute walk to Saint Mark's Square and many other key attractions such as Rialto bridge.

In the middle of shopping and dining areas.

Beautiful location.
Right off the canal, it was a true experience to get to the hotel. Check in was quick and easy. Staff were very attentive and the room was big and comfortable. Central to really good restaurants and shopping! I stayed for 2 days and honestly i didnt even want to leave haha. Will definitely be back! I would 1000% recommend.

Wonderful stay in Venice! Our room was beautifully decorated with a huge soaking tub in the bathroom. Roof top bar had breathtaking views, jazzy music, comfortable furniture and bar service was a perfect ending to a day of adventure and travels.

Great location, water taxi can drop at hotel or during higher tides within 200 feet. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was pretty nice, lots of choices.
Room was clean but a bit small ( had canal view room). Was there for my birthday and they had a note, biscuits and champagne for me.

We stumbled upon this hidden gem whilst walking through the streets of Venice, looking up we noticed their roof top area and navigated around the streets. We booked a table in their restaurant and we were not disappointed! Greeted with a glass of Prosecco, the elegance and service offered upon arrival was second to none! With the pianist playing in the back ground we were ushered to our table and this is where the magic began! A selection of freshly baked mixed breads with a prawn with strawberry Jue, followed by Pea Risotto & Gnocchi, delicious Then came the platter of fried fish & Guinea Fowl……. Beautifully presented with amazing flavours!!! A complementary Lemon sorbet and freshly home baked biscuits to finish and all accompanied by a lovely bottle of wine. Everything about restaurant & Hotel splendid ooozes style & elegance. What an amazing place and thank you so much to all of the team serving us & producing this wonderful experience. We only took a couple of photos & they really don’t do this superb restaurant justice. This has to be our most favourite place visited in Venice. Thank you for an unforgettable experience !
