Pictures do not lie and most definitely reflect the state of your hotel. My review depicts an accurate representation of the Donà Palace hotel. Rather than refuting my review, management should focus on improving cleanliness and the overall state of the property.
Palace? Should simply be called Donà Place. The lack of cleanliness and attention to detail in this hotel is glaring. We checked in and found that the shower door in our room was coming off, there were urine stains on the toilet seat, dirt and grime on the light switches, and gunk/food on the tv remote control. We were thankful that they were willing to change our room, but the new one was no better. Mold in the bathroom, pubic hairs in the corner of the bathroom, and dust and dirt. As you can see clearly from the pictures, this is not new dirt or grime, rather, a filth that has been caked in and accumulated over years of not cleaning properly. I’m not sure why this place has such good ratings. We gave one star because the breakfast was nicely done and the service staff at breakfast was quite attentive.
Wasted money on this hotel for our three nights in Venice. Horridly unpleasant.
