I stayed at the Shakespeare Boutique Hotel for 2 nights recently whilst on a solo trip in Vilnius. I chose this hotel as it was well situated right in the Old Town which made everything I wanted to see and do a short walking distance away and had breakfast included which made the stay cheaper and more convenient for me. I felt very safe at the hotel and it was located in quiet surroundings. The staff were very kind and friendly. I would recommend to others booking a city break in Vilnius.

We enjoyed our 3 day stay at the Shakespeare. It was aided by the way we were treated especially by Martynas who sorted out a bad experience we had with an on line travel agent. The key message to all who read this is BOOK DIRECT. You will be rewarded.

We arrived late in the evening, and we were immediately greeted by a kind staff person at the reception. We quickly filled out the guest form and headed to our room. The room was nice and cozy, with a great view of the city, specifically the hill of the Three Crosses. We were expecting to find a bath in our room, as seen in the pictures on the hotel website, but we only found a shower. Perhaps the website is a little confusing and not completely transparent. Either way, the bathroom was very nice.
After about half an hour of being in the room, the room next door started to fill up with people, champagne bottles were opened and it
became unbearable to be there and relax. It was a Saturday night, so their activity is understandable, however, from a 4 star hotel, I would expect more sound proof walls, and not ones where you can hear your neighbour speak or take a step on the floor. This probably happens due to the building's old age.
Immediately, we went to the reception to ask for a different room. Without any convincing or resistance, we were given a new room to stay in for the night. Even though this room was a single instead of the double we originally booked, it was a great alternative, as long as we didnt have to suffer from any noise.
The second room also had a great view of the city, specifically the Church of Saint Ona. We were able to enjoy our night fully.
Next morning, a nice, english inspired breakfast.
I would reccomend this hotel, for its great location, staff and atmosphere. But from our experience, do not come here if you are sensible to noise.

Perfect location within the old town Vilnius. Very near the important landmarks of the city, and more importantly, the good restaurants. The rooms are clean and well maintained. There is no restaurant in house. The breakfast served is good.

Great location, walking distance from old town.
Restaurant need to improve on breakfast time. Ran out of coffee, plates, spoons... To get coffee from one machine took almost 10 minutes.

Great location, very good breakfast. Rooms are as one would expect in a historic structure. The shower setup in the bathtub had some issues with water spraying everywhere and without a proper shower curtain.

I can say that it is one of the best hotels to stay in Vilnius in terms of location. The rooms are large and spacious.The day I was leaving the hotel, I asked the reception where the toilet was and he said it was upstairs, but the upper floors were dark, the lights weren’t on and I couldn't find it. Then I went downstairs again, he got sullen and angry. This was not nice at all, there are no lights and I can't find it, it's your problem.think you should learn how to treat tourists and guests or keep the lights on in your hotel!!!

An absolutely lovely place to stay. Only downside is that it's an old (ancient!) building, so a bit loud, but the charm more than makes up for it. Strong recommend getting the breakfast too! Super friendly staff. All around two thumbs up!

Everything is fine and the service also. I had a problem with the wifi signal, it was very low and sometimes it disapeared. That's why 2 stars down in rooms.
Also with a booking of four nights the towels were neve changed. I would like to have them changed on three days max, that's why one star down by service.
