The WORST experience – I will never return and do not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

I had an absolutely terrible stay at this hotel due to a shocking lack of care, professionalism, and basic standards.

1. Unresolved Maintenance Issues: My room had a sink with no proper drainage—the water remained stagnant in the sink overnight, causing a disgusting smell to permeate the bathroom. Despite informing the staff in the morning and asking them to address the issue during the day, nothing was done. In the evening, the situation worsened, and the entire bathroom reeked of sewage.
2. Unhelpful and Dishonest Staff: When I reported the issue again, I was initially told that no other rooms were available. However, when I insisted that I would not sleep in such conditions and demanded they contact a technician, a new room suddenly “appeared.” The replacement room was a poorly arranged connecting room, offering no privacy as I could hear my neighbors through the doors. After further complaints, I was moved to another room—this time without fresh air (internal window) and very poor soundproofing.

3. Rude Staff: The staff’s attitude was appalling throughout the experience. Their behavior was dismissive, unprofessional, which only added to the frustration of dealing with these unacceptable conditions.

I have never encountered such a poorly managed hotel in my life. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, avoid this hotel at all costs. It is a complete disgrace to the hospitality industry.

Great location in the middle of the old town and around the corner from many great restaurants and bars, also very close to public transport and a very quick walk to the bus to the airport. The main thing I’d suggest to improve are the beds and pillows, mattresses are incredibly hard and the pillows are not sufficient for a hotel, even when putting two pillows together, leaving me with neck pain unfortunately. A good stay overall though.

New, modern and clean hotel at great location. Staff polite and but did not provide me well with information, for example I was not mentioned that I could order eggs or omelet, but I saw that it was offered to other guests. There are some rooms without window to the outside. Those rooms have a glass to indoor space. Not for everyone's liking, definitely not for me. Bed was very hard and cover was too think. Would not be able to get good sleep. This is unfortunately, because room, size of room, shower all good quality, but sleep is quite important, so will not stay here again.

We enjoyed a week here, including our wedding anniversary for which the hotel kindly delivered some cake and a card to our room. The hotel is in a perfect location for sightseeing in the old town, and there is a bus stop for the 22 bus to the airport very near by. Although close to the bars and entertainment area, we were not disturbed at night by noise from outside or inside, as the rooms are well insulated. The air conditioning / heating worked well, though I found the duvet provided too hot as the weather at the time of our visit was warmer than usual - also, the bathroom was rather smelly at times. Breakfast was excellent and varied - I ate very healthy options from the 'Latvian corner' and the 'Fruit and Nut corner'.

Great location! Convenient location in Riga's Old Town allo9wing you to see all the sites. Great bed! Do not buy snacks at their little store in the lobby. It is a total rip-off. We were pleased by the bountiful breakfast at the Hilton Garden Inn in Riga’s Old Town. The bread selection was outstanding, as were the cold offerings. Our favorite things were the fluffy waffles and made-to-order omelets. Hilton had a delicious Greek yogurt that paired well with their homemade granola and a fantastic porridge made with coconut milk. All of your favorites are on the hot table: bacon, scrambled eggs, sausages, beans, and everything you need to put together the breakfast that is right for you. Don’t forget your fruit or a sweet roll. We found the coffee machine to be quite good, especially the cappuccino. This was the perfect setting to start your day sitting inside or outside to watch the busy world go by and enjoy Old Town's magnificent architecture.

Excellent location next to some of the best spots in Riga old town. The rooms are kinda small and dim lit. The breakfast area is terrific. the staff are relatively cold and not overly welcoming. The gym was run down and poorly maintained. So much potential here but wish they’d pay more attention to the details.

Amazing localization right next to Riga’s biggest old town attractions. Comfortable rooms although bed mattress was a bit too hard for me ( just a personal preference). Decent breakfast (can get crowded but there were never any moments with missing food). Like in American hotels you can prepare your own waffles - this is not very common in European hotels. I appreciated available sugar substitutes- they had stevia in the rooms (also rare find and differentiator from other hotels). Nice staff. Ah - staircase is available and you can climb to your floor (was not the case in competitive hotel we stayed earlier ;)).

I’m not the type to ever leave poor reviews, but I had a very negative experience here that I felt needed to be shared.

We had very loud alarms going off in the middle of the night (around 12:30-1am) only in our room, waking us up from sleep and stressing us out. When we went downstairs to ask what was going on, we were told it was a CO2 alarm, that maybe the levels went up in our room, or that maybe it was having technical issues. The night shift receptionist came up to the room to check it out, he said it was all in order, and to just open a window. We did, and not 10 minutes later when we try to sleep again, the alarm went off a second time. We were only told to not worry about it and that a technician would come in the morning (by the time we’d checked out), and no other solution was provided. We consequently had terrible sleep, concerned to begin with over what could’ve been the cause, if it really was related to CO2 levels rising in the room to dangerous enough levels, or only a technical issue. When I reported this to a different receptionist the following morning, she didn’t seem to care, only replying with a basic “sorry” and told us a note was left that a technician should see it.

I understand that sometimes things are out of a person’s control, but you’d expect more assistance from the hotel staff, and to be more accommodating in any situation, especially in an unknown situation like this.

One pays to stay at an establishment like this expecting proper rest and great hospitality, and we got none of that. No sort of compensation was offered for our ruined sleep and worry, leaving us very disappointed.

While the hotel has a very centric location and the rooms were decent, I expected a lot more from the Hilton name and how they treat their guests.

What stood out was a very comfortable hard mattress/double bed and the great breakfast. However, it was strange to see a 4 star hotel charging 3.5 euro for a small 300 ml bottle of water (not even sparkling) left on the table in the room. When checking out I told the reception that light in my bathroom was constantly flickering and I think the least they should have done was not charge an outrageous price for what is complimentary everywhere else - plain water in the room (not even minibar). Otherwise seems to be a nice hotel. The room felt immaculately clean and I always appreciate the diligent work of cleaning people.

We arrived 2pm, and said still get ready.
So we are no problem to wait, but staff try to prepare for our room and we could check in earlier.
But she just gave us room key card and no information about the breakfast, service, facilities...anything.

And unfortunately there was no upgraid for diamond member.
No lounge like Hilton group Asia.

The room was really nice and clean.
Just stinky carpet.

The location was super good.
Easy to go everywhere at old town.
Very convenient.
