Wellton Centrum Hotel & SPA

Great location, but the room was a quite small. Bed was a bit worn and wasn't that comfortable. It made a loud creaking, banging noise every time we got in or out of bed and if we turned in bed.

Room amenities seemed basic, more like 3 star as there were no facial tissues so use toilet paper to blow your nose. They had a liquid soap dispenser by the sink but it kept leaking, so on day 2 it had all leaked away onto the worktop and it needed refilled and on day 3 they didn't refill it at all, so we used our own soap.

You also have to hang out a door sign to request for your room to be cleaned each day. Only there was no sign provided! Really, cleaning should be opt-out rather than opt-in.

I read other reviews stating there was complimentary water but there was none - first time ever at a 4-star hotel.

On our final night, we returned to the room to find a loud buzzing/alarm noise every few mins from the air conditioning. We tried turning it off and changing the settings but nothing worked as there seemed to be residual power and it was still running. Luckily the buzzing stopped by the time we went to sleep.

When checking in, I had to sign a long list of terms and conditions but I wasn't given a copy. I think I saw that you cannot drink your own alcohol in the room, or you'll be fined! This is the first time I have ever heard about this type of rule.

We went for breakfast at 10am on Sunday and the place was packed with nowhere to sit. People were rushing around grabbing food so it wasn't very relaxed but there was a good selection of food. It was quieter on weekdays so that was good. Coffee was great on the first day but on the second, I selected cappuccino and no milk was dispensed! However, the machine was fixed after I spoke to staff. On a positive note, it is good that late breakfast was available until 11am every day, so we could enjoy a later lie-in. Overall this hotel is a good choice, great location.

I recently stayed at the Wellton Centrum Hotel & SPA and had a pleasant experience. The hotel's location was convenient, with easy access to the city center and public transportation. The staff were friendly and helpful, always willing to answer my questions and provide recommendations.

My room was clean and comfortable, with a comfortable bed and modern amenities. I appreciated the extra touches, such as the complimentary water and fruit.

The hotel's spa facilities were a highlight, with a relaxing atmosphere and a variety of treatments to choose from. I particularly enjoyed the sauna and steam room.

While there were some minor issues with the room's temperature control and the breakfast buffet's variety, overall I would recommend the Wellton Centrum Hotel & SPA for its comfortable accommodations, friendly staff, and excellent spa facilities.

The hotel is located in the center of the old town in an amazing spot.
It is close to all attractions, the furthest was about a 30 minute walk.
From the airport we chose a taxi (it was a bit expensive, 32€) but due to the cold and a lot of luggage it was an ideal solution for us.
The breakfast was amazing and the staff very kind.
The room quite comfortable with all the comforts, but it was not very clean, they had forgotten to clean up garbage from the previous ones.
The massage services are very good and also the space, although it is small, but was wonderful!

Excellent hotel. Clean, convenient location. Nice Spa. We packed breakfast with us since we had an early check-out and even made coffee despite the fact that everything was still closed. The only drawback is that there are no robes and slippers. I somehow got used to the fact that 4* have them. After visiting the spa I had to get fully dressed to get to my room. But I was only there for 1 night, so it’s not critical. The hotel has a good restaurant.

Amazing hotel! Although small, it is so intimate and cozy. The first thing I would like to mention is the staff. During the 3 days of my stay, I felt like the CEO of some company or a superstar. Any wish was immediately fulfilled. Helped with early check-in. I chose the hotel based on its interior contents and interior design and was right. Everything is so stylish and clean. The plumbing shines and creaks. You can hear a little music from the street, but after the spa and the pool, which by the way is very warm and clean, without the taste of chlorine, I slept great. The breakfasts were such that I couldn’t even try everything. Champagne and baked apple are forever in my heart. By the way, the coffee is 5+. The location couldn't be better. This was my first acquaintance with Latvia and Riga and it went with a bang! Thanks to your hotel.
