Wellton Riverside SPA Hotel

Our stay was very comfortable and really enjoyable, we felt really welcomed. The check - in and check - out was easy and smooth.
A group booking was very successful and smooth with this Hotel. A special thank you for Agnese who was really patient with any changes, gave us advice which hotel to chose for a big group and also helped with every process including rooms, spa, dinner and breakfast bookings. I asked many members and everyone was very happy with their rooms, especially spa, lovely welcome at reception and breakfast, tidiness of their rooms.
Once again big thanks for Agnese for her efforts and extra mile.

Overall, in my opinion this is a nice hotel. Although, there are certain aspects which I think need to be improved to consider this as 5 star hotel. We stayed in room 3303, which was in the other building. The room was modern, although the layout of the room was annoying as the entrance door was slanted which would hit against the bathroom door. There is also nothing separating random people entering the other building other than key card access, and the room door did not have a lock that securely locked. The bed was two single beds pushed together with 2 separate single duvets and the mattress was hard. We did not opt for the river view room, so outside our window was a construction site, although this didn’t bother us. And the television in the room is very outdated, no option to connect and all of the channels were Russian and Latvian with no choice to change the language/subtitles even though these were English movies. The public spa was nice, but extremely busy. I don’t understand why we have to book a time slot, but it is still overcrowded. I don’t recommend going in the evening. I recommend going first thing in the morning as you will have around 20 minutes to yourself, before people arrive. And when they do the jacuzzi is full and nobody will move. After the public spa experience, we decided to book the private spa. Which was only 10 euros more than the public spa, so definitely worth it. Although there is only a jacuzzi and a sauna, it’s very nice and personal. You can also order cocktails to the private spa. The customer service was great in this hotel, I was very pleasantly surprised with how helpful and friendly staff were. We ordered room service numerous times and the food was great as was the staff in the restaurant. As a Latvian myself, the breakfast was good, but quite limited if you are picky. I would consider staying here again, if they updated the television as we got very bored in the evenings and the mini bar started to tempt us.

Amazing hotel!

Rooms are modern and the wheelchair access room is really functional. The included breakfast is the best hotel buffet I’ve been too! The staff were lovely and helpful too.

Great features like a a microwave in reception for guest use and a bar in room which is well priced.

In a brilliant central location too!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Our room faced the river on the 6th floor and even with a busy road, there was no noise.
The room was well equipped and comfortable.
Breakfast was busy but great. Some nice Baltic offerings, pickled fish etc.
We had two trips to the spa, one complimentary and one paid for. It's a lovely spa, very relaxing.
I heartily recommend it!

I want to thank the staff for the incredible service we received during our stay. A special thanks to Anton who helped us when we had issues with our booking and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasant.

The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, with a huge variety and a chef in the middle cooking eggs and pancakes, which added an authentic touch. The drinks were also excellent, and the spa was fantastic. We had a spa treatment that was the best I've ever experienced.

Our room, unfortunately, had no view and sloped ceilings, which made it feel dark and small. Next time, I will make sure to book a room with a view, as I believe those rooms must be amazing.

The location is perfect, close to everything. I highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

Central location, clean & modern hotel.

Staffs were friendly & helpful too. Special shout out to Veronika at the front desk who were really thoughtful & helpful in trying to find my lost items. She went well above & beyond.
