When you say to the check in desk that we might stay longer she should give you the best room to make you automatically pay for another night ;)
Anw we checked out and found a better hotel with no fake promotions !!
I asked the receptionist if we could change rooms, even for a paid upgrade to something more comfortable on the same floor, but she was unhelpful and dismissive, simply saying there were "no options at all." Her attitude made me feel like she didn't want to help.
On the third day, I put the "please clean the room" sign on the door. The housekeeper was only a few meters away and I saw her looking at me as I hung it up. I left for the day and came back late at night to find that the room had not been cleaned. It was very frustrating to know she saw me, but still didn't clean the room.
When I called the front desk to report the issue, the receptionist's response was cold and unhelpful. She said, "I apologize, and what time do you want your room cleaned?" The overall lack of service and care was a major disappointment and ruined the relaxing experience we had hoped for.
Good breakfast choices that all I need.
Great location.
Rooms claustrophobic and dark on one side of the hotel, as overlooked by a building. But we were able to move to a room in the back building which is much better.
Pool area with sauna.
Cons:
-Room 'cleaning' sub par. We were left fresh towels but there was no cleaning done (hoovering,surfaces wiped etc).
-Bedding was also not changed though this was requested (once in 4 days)
- Room needs upkeeping. There are dents and scratches on the walls.
-Asked for a late check out to be told first that we could have it til 4pm. Then we were told til 1pm only. After then changing their minds again and saying we could have a late check out after 6pm for a fee, we had to ask several different people to be told this would be a 'day rate' but no one could give us an actual price or seemed to know what the process was. The morning of check out we called to confirm as advised ,we were then told they were fully booked and we had to leave at 12pm.
-Key card was deactivated before 11am. My partner went to get coffee and couldn't get back in the room while I was in the shower.
A decent location but based on cleanliness and some staff we sadly won't be back.

Breakfast is a feast with lots of choices of cooked and cold options. Breakfast gets so busy around 9.30am, so arrive before and bag a good table with some relative peace and quiet.
Spa is also a great experience, probably one of the best in Europe. It's not big, but lovely material finish with no damage and well maintained.
Regulating the numbers of guests makes it feel not crowded. Sauna and steam room are hot!! 💜
Great location on the water front and ready access to old town. Don't get confused as we did.. we thought the taxi driver took us to the wrong location... there are 2 Wellton hotels, 1 opposite Stockmann and 1 Riverside...

We requested a room change, but were informed that the hotel was fully booked. Given the lack of basic amenities, we felt a refund was reasonable. Initially, the front desk staff seemed understanding and said we could speak to the manager in the morning. However, when we returned, we were redirected again and told to call another manager the following day. When we finally reached him, he flatly denied our refund request.
Other aspects of the stay were also unsatisfactory. Check-in was slow, despite us arriving at the expected time. We had specifically requested separate beds, which we did not receive. Additionally, when we returned to the room later that day, it had not been cleaned.
Overall, this experience left us feeling misled and frustrated. We’ve since contacted Trip and our credit card provider to escalate the issue. I would strongly recommend choosing a different hotel.
