Lost Inn BKK

Only booked here for a night. Its mentioned there is a 24 hour reception, which upon our early arrival we discovered this does not exist. Reception is manned from 8am onwards. A small sign on the outside displays a handful of numbers to call if you arrive earlier but after trying all four of these with no answer, it’s clear no one was about. There was also a small sign up on the reception stating ‘if your room is ready & wish to check in earlier its ฿100 per hour of early check in’ This is a first in my few hundred hostel/ hotel stays and quit honestly not very welcoming.

The room itself, basic as per the photos. The drainage in the bathroom would overflow every time you had a shower along with the sink. This meant you had to walk through a few centimetres of waste water just to step into the bedroom. In addition, there was constant repairs and building work going on in the room next door a few hours. I understand work and maintenance has to be carried out but no prior warning or time frame was said at check in.

On a plus, the location is fantastic. Not too far from the main hustle and bustle but far enough away that you dont have to be involved. Great markets and food options around. I appreciated the super firm/ hard mattress but I know this is not to everyone’s taste.
