Marsi Hotel @ Bangchak

After staying at this hotel for several months, usually 5–7 nights each month for company meetings nearby, I would like to share some constructive feedback.

Firstly, I have noticed that most of the staff rarely smile and do not appear service-minded, which is quite disappointing for a hotel of this standard.

Several months ago, I inquired about a corporate rate since I always stay here on behalf of my company. I was informed that the corporate rate would only apply for stays of 7–10 consecutive nights. I accepted this policy without issue and continued to pay the higher rate, as I valued the hotel’s excellent location — with easy access to the expressway and close to the BTS.
However, during my most recent stay, I decided to move to another hotel instead. The reasons were:

* A strong smell of cannabis smoke in the corridors, which on more than one occasion entered my room.
* Loud noise from other guests returning late at night around 1–2 a.m., shouting in the hallway and disturbing my rest.

The following morning, I reported the issue and requested to change rooms. Unfortunately, I did not receive an apology, and the staff member responded in an unfriendly manner without a smile. As a result, I decided to check out the next day and moved to another hotel for the remaining three nights.

In addition, there are several other matters which, though small individually, have accumulated over the months and left me with a negative impression:

* An early check-in fee of THB 500 if arriving before 2:00 p.m.
* A 3% surcharge when paying by credit card.
* The requirement to prepare THB 500 as a cash deposit upon check-in.

While the location is excellent, the rooms are good, and the bed is very comfortable, the handling of immediate issues and overall guest experience could be significantly improved. These matters, combined over time, have led me to conclude that seeking another hotel is a better option.

i stayed here several days.

the worst is that the rooms are very poorly noise-isolated. the cleaning maids will wake you up constantly at 7 a.m. by opening all rooms of early leavers, starting chatting, ringing phones with reception and hovering without closing doors. a hospital is close, so you will hear 3-4 times sirens during the night. to me a hotel should guarantee a good sleep (that's what hotels are made for) until 10.00, this one does not since it is NOT willing to discipline their staff.

the second big disadvantage is the distance for a supermarket or 7/11. evenso you can walk in 10 minutes to BTS Bang chak, the nearest 7/11/tops/lotus is quite far (20minutes) to reach, making it hard to get convenient. for a city hotel thats a bit too much for me. also those walking ways are very narrow and not built well. they offer free coffe too but it seems you get what you pay for sonce the 2 of us who drank it(c.p.), both got a throat infection. its not maintained well!!

they charge 3% plus for credit card transactions and request a deposit of 500 baht.

no fitness room but a very bad maintained swimming pool.

there are cheaper and better hotels nearby, especially if you extend the radius 1 station more to either BTS Onnut or BTS Punnawithi.

will not come back!

Yes the rooms are comfortable, clean and contemporary.
However, the 500 Baht cash deposit, unusable WIFI (Down 2Mbps Up 4 Mbps - staff reset the wifi and speeds got worse), no smart TV, and noise make for a Not Recommended rating.
