Varmtel Hotel

Nice little budget friendly hotel, stayed there last August, we booked two rooms because we were 5 (2 adults 3 kids)
Within Walking distance to the very nice ICON SIAM Mall, where you can find a huge foodcourt.
The Hotel is located in a very quiet little street. Staff is friendly, hotel is clean, rooms are spacious.
Only downside would be that it's a bit noisy sometimes in the hallways, room doors are not very thick, so when people arrive late or leave early with all their luggage it could get a bit noisy.
Overall a good experience, would certainly return if I had the opportunity

Lovely, clean hotel - slightly quieter neighbourhood of Bangkok but easy to get a Grab from/to and the metro is just over the bridge so overall pretty convenient!
Comfy bed and nice staff. Free bottles of water every day was a nice touch!

the hotel is clean and comfortable. the location is only 500m from Icon Siam. The area around the hotel is very calm and quiet making for a better sleep.
the staffs were very friendly and informative when we arrived, they recommended some interesting places. we stayed in a deluxe room which was quite spacious and the bathroom was quite big. hand towels and hair dryers were provided. the room's air conditioning was incredibly cold and worked well.
there was a small kitchen and refrigerator near the lobby and there was a microwave to heat food. They provide hot coffee and tea near the lobby. I quite surprised because it turned out there was a washing machine that could be used for free.
this hotel has a rooftop for smoking and sitting and relaxing, unfortunately there are no chairs and tables on the rooftop. the only drawback is that the only TV channels available are local Thai TV. but who needs to watch TV while on vacation in Bangkok?
The nearest transportation is BTS Saphan Taksin (walking and going up and down stairs about 600m, if you don't want to go up the stairs you can use the ferry for only 5 baht.
The nearest mall is Icon Siam, which can be reached by walking about 500m. The area around the hotel is very quiet and calm and the area is very safe.
On the nearest highway there is a Tops minimarket that is open until midnight. Next to the Lighthouse building there is delicious chicken rice that is open since 7 am. Success always for Varmtel. Will recommend this hotel.

Cute hotel in a quieter area of Bangkok! The service was great and the staff was so nice. It's within walking distance of ICON SIAM mall but a little bit out from attractions such as the grand palace and chatuchak market. however this wasn't a big issue and we still enjoyed our stay! they provide water, towels, shampoo, and body wash but you'll need to bring your own hand soap and other toiletries. the rooms had plenty of space and they were even able to place a cot on the floor for us. we had a TV and mini fridge for cold water. there is a cute terrace on the 6th floor that has a great view of the city as well. there is a kitchen downstairs and self service laundry for free. 4.5/5 stars, would definitely recommend!

This is a quiet, clean, and conveniently located hotel right off the gold line and all for a great price!.The rooms were spacious enough and clean. The staff of very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in walking distance of Icon Siam and the BTS. Perfect place to stay if you’re visiting Bangkok!

I wanted to gate-keep this hotel but unfortunately I’m not able to as I need to share this with anybody who wants a home stay feel and quiet place among the bustling city. 5mins walk to ICON siam, good for those who have business dealings or to attend any concert etc etc. 7-11 available nearby, thank you to the front desk who are more than happy to provide you with any kind of information you require. Spacious room, no choke up sink or washroom. Excellent flow of water with heater or without. I will definitely return again as my first choice of stay! Thank you once again for the comfortable and spacious room!

Spectacularly clean room. Amazing shower and the most comfortable beds of our two week stay. Perfect location for iconsiam for a spot of shopping and a last night stay before heading home. Very welcoming staff. Great for a good value night of sleep.

Such a modern, minimalist and lovely little hidden gem for such a great price! I am so glad I picked it!
I am a woman traveling alone and I felt very safe in the area and in the hotel.
It is easy to grab the boat, or take the hop on and off bus from the mall (ICONSIAM). There you will also find lots of options for food and shopping.
The hotel is simple, yet so comfy and convenient. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
There’s also a washing machine which is great to have.
Overall, this place is an amazing choice, I would come back here! Wish we had more hotels like this in Europe 😅
