Had a lovely 5-night stay at Makka. Check-in and overall hospitality were wonderful. Clean and comfortable rooms located in the heart of the Old City were perfect for our stay in Chiang Mai. The location allowed us to easily walk anywhere within or nearby the Old City or to readily order a car or other transport to places further afield. The main lobby staff were always very accommodating and the hotel property was both beautiful and relaxing. We looked forward to a comfortable and restful sleep each night we stayed. Thank you!

We stayed at the Makka Hotel for 4 nights in March 2024. The hotel is centrally located to all attractions in Chiang Mai. Many temples are in walking distance as well as the Sunday night market is just steps away. Lots of restaurants also in walking distance. We had an upstairs room which was quiet, but I can see that other rooms can be noisier. Internet works fine. Breakfast was good. We enjoyed our stay.

Everything is perfect from location, the staffs to the hotel design itself. The place delivers a peaceful vibe where every wall was written with meditational quotes. The whole hotel structure is made by wood. However, I don’t think the place is suitable for big families with kids or elders since there is no elevator and the room is small.

The hotel is beautiful. Communal areas are wonderful including relaxing library and the breakfast is served in the courtyard area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Service was excellent. Ground floor rooms are beautifully simple although on the small side. Beds are comfortable and the pillows are great. Location is in the quiet spot set back from the main road. Unfortunately during our stay there was a lot of construction going on in the Old Town but the hotel did their best to move us in the quieter room.

The place was clean, cozy, and the service was excellent. The hotel is located near many temples and night markets. The staff was always welcoming and friendly. Although the breakfast was served as a set menu rather than a buffet, the food was delicious and the portion size was decent. I loved the simplicity of the room, and the bed was very comfortable. The pillow was the best part of my stay!
On Sunday night, the main road leading to the hotel will be blocked due to the Sunday night market from evening until 11 p.m. If you thinking of driving and using maps or Waze, it may be difficult to navigate to the hotel. I had to park quite far away from the hotel, but the staff were kind enough to assist me by using a motorbike to guide me to the hotel. Thank you so much for that!

We stayed there for 3 nights and happy, very happy.
Location is good and the staff is really nice.
PROS,
Nice decoration, good photos oportunities, beautiful architecture, nice touches, enchanting library, and breakfast sufficient, veyr helpful and willing to make your stay comfortable by the staff in general.
CONS,
You have to walk bare foot at the hotel, it is quite dark inside the rooms and outside, clealiness is ok not the best as the bathrooms are quite obscure due to dark tiles, rooms are small, not good views unless you pay more.
Although the cons, I can go back to this hotel. The staff made the difference but if cleaner, that will be a 10/10

Although this hotel has fantastic appearance, but the room doesn't deserve that price. By the way, the breakfast is delicate, especially the rice porridge with fish.

Beautiful hotel, nice and quiet. Overall had a great atmosphere and attention to detail all around. Not a large hotel, but has some garden areas, loft and balcony area for reading or relaxing. Definitely would go again.

Nice cosy atmosphere. Very low key service. Rooms are a bit small but its tastefully deocrated. The inclusice breakfast is quite good.

Great rustic feel to the rooms which was incredibly charming. Despite this, they were very up to date technologically and aesthetically pleasing. The common area is beautiful and serene. Free refrigerated drinks in the rooms were much appreciated.
