Kata beach is clean and better looked after than some of the cheaper resorts.
Pamookoo has really great quality rooms and a decent pool area with adult sized water slides. This is a perfect family resort and the breakfast was plentiful and good quality. I was blown away by how clean the staff kept the place, thus is much better than many other places we have visited in SE Asia.
We visited in early December, ordered 2 rooms and the staff got us adjoining rooms with an internal door between them.
Point to note: 90% of the guests were Russian when we were there, no Aussies or Brits. I think we went just before the standard school holiday dates for Australia

Kids loved the hotel. Nice rooms. Big breakfast buffet. Good snacks at the pool bar.

The pool water was a little cold and the tiles are very slippery.

Kata beach is crowded

This is not our first time in Thailand, we have been to Turkey and Vietnam, so we have something to compare with! The hotel is simply excellent! The rooms are great, all the rooms overlook the hotel grounds, it is impossible for someone to have a room overlooking, for example, the wall of a neighboring hotel. We chose it because it is completely new, not "worn out"! The slides on the grounds are awesome! The food at the hotel is good! The choice is big! But it is bad that there is no, so to speak, green territory, so that you can lie under a palm tree, there are palm trees, but everything is in a "concrete" jungle))

The hotel is new, fresh. Everything is done very practically. The rooms are good. Comfortable. No, it is not for a long stay. I would not call them very cozy - they are just very well organized and everything is at hand. The restaurant is large, convenient, close to a huge parking lot. Which is important. There is a #Daypass for only $ 10 and without a room you can use the recreation areas. The mood on the territory is excellent. In general, everything is super, I recommend it. By the way, from the popular questions: alcohol is inexpensive, the sea is very close (5-7 minutes walk), there are shops nearby. But due to the pandemic, many are closed. There are cafes and restaurants nearby. But the hotel is not expensive either.

The hotel is a good one, close to Kata beach, good restaurants, convenience stores, night markets, and with quite a few things to do within it and nearby.
The staff there varied. Most were nice and some were annoying.
The pool and the garden were very good. The sliders are fun but may be not suitable for small kids.

Had a family holiday here for a week. The staff were amazing and spacious rooms. The swimming pool and slides were awesome to keep the kids entertained. The only negative was the buffet breakfast which was average. They served the same breakfast every day and the coffee was cold

Good hotel with good facilities for kids. Multiple Pools and water slides particularly good, watch your inflatables aren't left anywhere more than 5 mins as they can go missing - happened twice in a week to us. Has a kids club with some limited but fun activities and is a good place for the kids to hangout.

Overall Staff extremely friendly and attentive and really try their best.

Breakfast selection very good and food of good quality - just a little chaotic in the restaurant at peak times around 9am.

Hotel is in a good location close to other bars and restaurants and the beach as well.

Check-in and Checkout at the busiest times needs better organisation by the staff to prevent line/queue jumping by those types of people that only consider themselves and the concept of waiting their turn is alien to them. Unfortunately this hotel is extremely popular with people who can't wait in line.
