Kalima Resort and Villas Khao Lak - SHA EXTRA PLUS

Kalima Resort was the last stop as part our trip to Thailand. The hotel itself is well kept with regular cleaning and staff always on hand to help if you need anything. On the first day I spoke with a staff member called Pin who was exceptionally helpful and answered questions throughout the whole stay. She was extremely knowledgeable and spoke impeccable English which made communication so much easier. The rooms are luxurious and spacious equipped with everything you need to make your stay perfect. If anything is broken or not working efficiently, staff fix it straight away. The food at the restaurant is the quality you expect from a 5 star hotel if not more. The portion sizes are generous and the service is fast. There are a few pools to choose from during the day with the beach close. There is a shuttle service to the nearest town free of charge from the hotel too which is great. The hotel also offers free water sports such as kayaking and paddle boarding which is lovely if you want to do something but don't want to go too far. There are shops and a local restaurant and massage parlour all reasonably priced about 30 second walk from the hotel. The laundry service was used and also great. We would love to revisit Kalima resort, we couldn't be more thankful for everything and could not recommend this highly enough! Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making it an incredible stay :)

This hotel provided one of the best services I’ve ever experienced. Every staff member was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. I requested a late checkout until 3 p.m. and was pleasantly surprised when they offered a complimentary extension until 2 p.m.

Since we had already arranged to switch hotels for the following days, the staff kindly offered us a free shuttle service to our next hotel using their Khao Lak Centre shuttle bus. This thoughtful gesture truly exceeded my expectations.

We had a fantastic stay and would love to return in the future. Highly recommended!

Spent a weekend here. Very comfortable, spacious room. There's a private access to the beach which is well maintained by the hotel staff.

The pool was nice enough but there were not enough seats or loungers for everyone.

Our dinner at Tin Terrace is mostly good. Excellent service from the staff. Food wise closer to a 4 star delivery. They could really do away with the fire show, what a mess... Could have carried on with the live music or even just nice chill background music.

Overall a good experience. Well done 👍🏽

From the moment we arrived the staff were so friendly, welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you! The food and drinks were excellent and the breakfast offered a huge variety.

The private beach and free canoeing/paddle boarding was a huge highlight - as well as the free activities (such a mediation yoga)!

Our room was large and clean, and the bed was comfortable.

They made it so easy to book trips and gave us advice and guidance!

Although the hotel is a bit far out from the town, they make every effort with free shuttle buses regularly to and from Khao Lak so that it is easy and accessible for everyone.

No complaints at all, we will definitely be back in the future. 🙌🏻🌴

Came back second time to eat the noodles at the restaurant. This time noodles tasted better and had great service by Kwan 1. She was very nice. Husband enjoyed his wagyu burger also. Portion was generous and special thanks to the chef.

The definition of tranquility. Longing to escape the busy routine & endless list of to-dos? Detox from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and treat yourself to this resort. You won’t regret it. One weekend here has refreshed my soul, and given my body much needed rest for a productive week following. Thank you to all the staff who made our experience unforgettable! 🏝️❤️

Thank you to all of your amazing staff who make this hotel so fantastic. Memorable experience. Extremely relaxed - just what we needed before heading around Thailand. Amazing value - kayak around the river to see elephants washing in the river.
Food was very good and cocktails - clean and tidy everywhere!
Only feedback would be the activity area needs some titivation but understand it’s out in the elements so hard to keep pristine.
Yada was so lovely and gave us plenty of tips of the local area to explore.
We stayed in pool villa 9112 which was worth the extra as we are happy relaxing around our own pool - sun dropped out around 4pm but was still worth it.

The actual room was gorgeous (one bed pool villa) but the cleaning of the room was well below par. The toilet roll ran out, there was dust building around our items, (instead of moving our items and dusting, they just dusted around them) floor wasn't cleaned correctly, again mopping around shoes etc. There rug in the living room was grey and was supposed to be white! Apart from that, the rest of the resort was stunning and very clean! The staff couldn't do enough for you. The location is 20 minutes bus from the resort and the free shuttles fill up quickly. The taxi guy outside the hotel is fabulous and for £10 will take you to the market and wait for you to bring you back, so not all bad. The wobbly bridge over to the beach is really bad and not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
